Quintessence Films
Quintessence Films is a limited film production company specializing in music videos and commercials. Founded by Michele Civetta and Manu Gargi in 2006, it now has expanded to include directors Larry Clark, James Franco, and Tommy O'Haver. The company has produced ''Friendly Fire'', the DVD musical film companion to the 2006 Sean Lennon album of the same title, a commercial for the French water company Badoit, and a music video for Grand National. In 2009 Quintessence Films commissioned and produced a series of short films based on dreams in affiliation with 42 Below and the Beijing Film Studios. Michele Civetta (born 1976) is an Italian American film director and multi-media artist and founder of Quintessence Films. Career Michele Civetta is an Emmy-nominated director. He has directed videos for Lou Reed, Sparklehorse, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Curtis Harding, Ladytron, and Yoko Ono, as well as commercials for Coca-Cola, Martini & Rossi, Cingular wireless, and Badoit mineral water. In 2006 Civetta wrote and directed a musical feature for Sean Lennon's Capitol Records release ''Friendly Fire''. The 50-minute film debuted January 2008 on Mark Cuban's HDNet channel. Lawrence Donald Clark (born January 19, 1943) is an American film director, photographer, writer and film producer who is best known for his controversial teen film ''Kids'' (1995) and his photography book ''Tulsa'' (1971). Tommy O'Haver (born October 24, 1968, Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American film director and screenwriter. He grew up in Carmel, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. He graduated from Carmel High School and matriculated at Indiana University with a joint degree in Journalism and Comparative Literature. In the mid-1990s, he attended the MFA Film program at the University of Southern California USC School of Cinematic Arts, School of Cinematic Arts. Badoit
Badoit is a brand of carbonated mineral water from Saint-Galmier, France. History Badoit is named after Auguste Badoit, who began bottling the water of Saint Galmier in 1838. In 1971, Badoit became part of Evian SA, which later became a fully owned subsidiary of Boussois Souchon Neuvesel. Today, Badoit is a product and brand of the Danone group. In June 2019, Danone announced that from that month onward, Badoit would no longer be available in the UK. Danone explained that, as Badoit is a natural mineral water, the company was conscious of the need to preserve the source and never collect more than nature can offer. Grand National (band)
Grand National are a British band from London, England who have toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States. The project is a collaboration between Rupert Lyddon (born 1975, Amersham) and Lawrence Rudd (born 1976, Weston-super-Mare), who also is a DJ and remixer. Their sound is reminiscent of early forays into electronic sound manipulation, new wave and psychedelic soul. As a live act the band usually adopt a six-piece format.
