Qemal Karaosmani
Qemal bej Karaosmani (17 July 1875 – 5 August 1949) was one of the signatories of the Albanian Declaration of Independence,"History of Albanian People" Albanian Academy of Science. and an activist of Albanian education. He served as General Secretary and briefly as Minister of Agriculture in the Provisional Government of Albania. Life Karaosmani was born in Elbasan, back then part of Manastir Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire, today's central Albania, to an Albanian family. His family surname Karaosmani translates to “Black Ottoman” Kara meaning black in Turkish and Osmani being Ottoman in Albanian. He got his first studies in the Ottoman school of his home town. Elbasan
Elbasan ( , ; sq-definite, Elbasani, ) is the fourth most populous city of Albania and seat of Elbasan County and Elbasan Municipality. Murat Toptani
Murad bej Toptani (13 July 1867 – 11 February 1918) was an Albanian poet, artist and activist of the Albanian National Awakening. Along with his relative Abdi Toptani he became one of the signatories of the Albanian Declaration of Independence in 1912. As a sculptor, Toptani created the first bust of George Kastrioti Skanderbeg, the national hero of Albania. Ismail Qemali, or Ismail Kemal, (; 16 January 184426 January 1919), was an Albanian politician and statesman who is regarded as the founder of modern Independent Albania, Albania. The Congress of Elbasan (), also known among Albanians as the Congress of the Albanian schools (''Kongresi i shkollave shqipe''), was held from 2 to 8 September 1909 in Elbasan, today's Albania, back then part of the Vilayet of Monastir of the Ottoman Empire. The congress, sponsored by the local ''Bashkimi'' literary club, was attended by 35 delegates from central and southern Albania. The congress aimed to address issues linked to Culture of Albania, culture and Education in Albania, education. The Congress of Manastir () was an academic conference held in the city of Manastir (now Bitola) from November 14 to 22, 1908, with the goal of standardizing the Albanian alphabet. Ilias Bey, bej Vrioni (1 January 1882 – 12 March 1932) was an Albanians, Albanian politician and landowner. He was one of the signatories of the Albanian Declaration of Independence and served as Prime Minister of Albania three times. Aziz Vrioni
Aziz Pasha Vrioni (1859–1920) was an Ottoman-Albanian politician of the early 20th century. He was a member of the Ottoman Parliament representing Berat, and Albanian Minister of Finance and Minister of Agriculture and of Mines. He was born in Berat, Ottoman Empire (modern Albania), member of the influential and well-known Vrioni family.
