QTQ is an Australian television station, licensed to, and serving Brisbane, Queensland. It is owned by the Nine Entertainment Co., and is part of the Nine Network. It broadcasts on VHF Channel 8 (digital). QTQ began broadcasting on 16 August 1959 as the first commercial television station in Queensland. QTQ-9 is the home of the NRL coverage. News QTQ-9's nightly news program is ''Nine News Queensland'', presented on weeknights by Andrew Lofthouse and Melissa Downes, with Wally Lewis presenting sport, and Garry Youngberry presenting the weather. Jonathan Uptin is the weekend presenter, with Michael Atkinson presenting sport and Luke Bradnam presenting weather. Luke Bradnam also presents Beach and Fishing reports each Friday and Saturday evening. Alison Ariotti
Alison Ariotti (nee Fletcher, born 1980) is an Australian journalist and news presenter. Career Ariotti's media career began at NBN in Northern New South Wales where she worked casually as a reporter. In 2000, she was appointed to ''WIN News'' as a reporter in Cairns and later moved to ''WIN News'' on the Sunshine Coast. Ariotti later moved back to Cairns and was appointed as chief of staff for WIN television. In October 2004, Ariotti joined the Nine Network and was appointed a reporter and producer on ''Nine Gold Coast News''. She then moved to Brisbane in 2007 became a reporter and producer on ''Nine News Queensland''. In 2009, Ariotti was appointed Queensland reporter on ''Today''. Cameron Price
Cameron Price (born 24 September 1985) is an Australian journalist who is a reporter with '' Seven News'' in Sydney. He was formerly a Sydney reporter for '' Sky News Australia'' and a Brisbane reporter for ''Nine News''. Career Price obtained a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Queensland and early in his career worked as a reporter for WIN Television in Toowoomba as well as ''Nine News'' in Brisbane. Eva Milic (born 27 June 1978) is an Australian journalist who represented Australia at Miss World 2001. Milic is currently the presenter of '' Nine Gold Coast News''. Career Milic completed a Bachelor of Business degree in 2001 after graduating from St Michael's College on the Gold Coast. After graduating she launched herself into modelling and she was crowned Miss World Australia and represented Australia at the international Miss World contest. Milic graduated from Griffith University with a Master of Journalism and Mass Communication degree in 2005 and received awards in academic excellence. Bruce Paige
Bruce Paige (born 10 November 1948) is a former newsreader in Brisbane, Australia. He previously presented ''Nine Gold Coast News'' alongside Eva Milic. He previously co-presented '' Nine News Queensland'' alongside Melissa Downes, having paired with Jillian Whiting and Heather Foord in the past. Career First coming to prominence on television reading the ABC bulletin, Paige's career at the station began in January 1971, before he moved to Channel Nine in 1985. He left Nine in 1990 for Network Ten, but had soon moved back to his native Townsville, reading the local news there for three years. Heather Foord (born 1965) is an Australian television journalist. Foord was a news presenter for the Nine Network in Brisbane for over 20 years, presenting the weekday edition of ''Nine News Queensland'' with Bruce Paige between 1995–2001, and again between 2004–2008. John Schluter (born 1955) is an Australian journalist and weather presenter. Schluter currently presents a weekly "Flashback" report and is a fill-in weather presenter on ''Seven News'' in Brisbane. Career Nine Network Schluter presented the weather on ''National Nine News'' in Brisbane for nearly 25 years; he ended his affiliation with the Nine Network in September 2006. Chris Bombolas (born 12 May 1960) (often known as ''Bomber'') is a communications and media specialist, and a television and radio presenter. A former sports reporter for 21 years with the Nine Network in Brisbane. A former Australian politician, he served for one term as the Labor member for Chatsworth in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 2006 to 2009. Bombolas was born in Newcastle, New South Wales.
