Péter Kónya
Péter Kónya (born 19 February 1969) is a Hungarian soldier, journalist, trade unionist and politician, who was a Member of Parliament (MP) from 2014 to 2018. As leader of the Hungarian Solidarity Movement, he was a founding member of the Together party until he quit in October 2015. Biography Kónya was born in Miskolc on 19 February 1969. He finished his secondary studies at the I. István Secondary Grammar School in Budapest in 1987. He attended the Lviv Polytechnic State University in the Soviet Union, then Ukraine from 1987 to 1991 and from 1993 to 1994, where he earned a degree of military journalist in 1994. Simultaneously, he finished the school of the Association of Hungarian Journalists (MÚOSZ) in 1992. He was a career soldier since 1987, he was inaugurated army officer in 1991; he attended the battalion command course of the Lajos Kossuth Military College in 1992. The National Assembly ( ) is the parliament of Hungary. The unicameral body consists of 199 (386 between 1990 and 2014) members elected to four-year terms. Election of members is done using a semi-proportional representation: a mixed-member majoritarian representation with partial scorporo, compensation via transfer votes and mixed single vote; involving single-member districts and one list vote; parties must win at least 5% of the popular vote in order to gain list seats. The second government of Viktor Orbán or the Government of National Cooperation (in Hungarian: ''A Nemzeti Együttműködés Kormánya'') was the Government of Hungary from 29 May 2010 to 6 June 2014. Orbán formed his second cabinet after his party, Fidesz won the outright majority in the first round on April 11, with the Fidesz-KDNP alliance winning 206 seats, including 119 individual seats. 2018 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on 8 April 2018. The elections were the second since the adoption of a new constitution, which came into force on 1 January 2012. The result was a victory for the Fidesz– KDNP alliance, preserving its two-thirds majority, with Viktor Orbán remaining Prime Minister. Orbán and Fidesz campaigned primarily on the issues of immigration and foreign meddling, and the election was seen as a victory for right-wing populism in Europe. Unity (), also called Left Unity () was the informal name of a short-lived centre-left political alliance in Hungary of five political party, political parties formed for contesting the 2014 Hungarian parliamentary election.
