Pénélope McQuade
Pénélope McQuade (born November 24, 1970) is a Canadian radio and television host. The daughter of France Rivard and journalist Winston McQuade, she was born in Quebec City, Quebec. While she was young, she spent two years in Toronto before her family moved to Montreal. McQuade studied arts and communications at the Cégep Jean-de-Brébeuf and then journalism at the Université du Québec à Montréal. After completing her education, she worked for various Quebec broadcasters. In 1999, she received a Prix Gémeaux for best host in the youth category for ''Cyberclub''. In 2003, she received another Gémeaux award for best host for ''Passep’Art''. ''Pénélope'' is an opera in three acts by the French composer Gabriel Fauré. The libretto, by René Fauchois is based on Homer's ''Odyssey''. It was first performed at the Salle Garnier, Monte Carlo, on 4 March 1913. Rouge FM
Rouge FM (or Rouge) is a network of French-language adult contemporary radio stations broadcasting throughout Quebec, Canada. Established in 1990 as RockDétente, they are owned by Bell Media. All "Rouge" stations broadcast in the same markets as Bell's mainstream rock network, "Énergie", although Énergie also has a few stations in markets not served by "Rouge FM". Although the stations concentrate on French adult contemporary music, it would mix in English music as well (especially in areas outside of Montreal and Ottawa, where English radio service is not available) much like Cogeco's "Rythme FM" network, which has fewer stations than "Rouge". The flagship radio station is Montreal's CITE-FM. The Astral jingles on this network are different from the adult hits jingles used by Astral's English-language adult contemporary stations, nut the network uses a very relaxing acoustic tune. Énergie
Énergie is a Canadian radio network of French-language mainstream rock outlets broadcasting throughout the province of Quebec and portions of eastern Ontario, in Eastern Canada. They offer a personality-driven mix of francophone and anglophone classic rock and alternative rock songs, catering to a young adult audience. Although the flagship station is CKMF-FM Montreal, the 10 stations in the network usually have their own talent and format for each of their own markets. They are owned by Bell Media. Rythme FM is a network of French language, French-language adult contemporary FM broadcasting, FM radio stations broadcasting in most major markets of Quebec. The network was created and owned by Cogeco. History The brand "Rythme FM" was introduced in January 1999 at CFGL-FM in the Montreal market, and the network was created after Cogeco received new licences in other markets in 2002 and 2003. The Rythme FM network is in direct competition against Rouge FM; both networks offer a very similar product, with Rouge FM having a marginally hot AC-leaning sound compared to Rythme FM, which leans somewhat more towards oldies/classic hits. CKAC is a Canadian French, French-language radio station located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Owned by Cogeco, the station operates as a commercial travelers' information station, traffic information service branded as ''Radio Circulation 730''. Its studios are located at Place Bonaventure in Downtown Montreal, and its transmitter is located in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac.
