''Guru Dakshina'' is a 1987 Indian Bengali language musical romantic drama film written and directed by Anjan Choudhury and produced by Bhabesh Kundu. The film stars Ranjit Mallick, Tapas Paul, Satabdi Roy, Kali Banerjee, and Shakuntala Barua in the lead roles. The film is about a poor village boy named Jayanta Bose who becomes a popular singer but faces roadblocks and tragedies on the way. Ranjit Mallick (born 28 September 1944) is an Indian actor who works mainly in Bengali cinema. ''Rabindranath Tagore'' is a 1961 Indian documentary film written and directed by Satyajit Ray about the life and works of Bengali author and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Ray started working on the documentary in early 1958. Shot in black-and-white, the finished film was released during the birth centenary year of Rabindranath Tagore, who was born on 7 May 1861. Ray avoided the controversial aspects of Tagore's life in order to make it as an official portrait of the poet. Ajoy Kar (Bengali:অজয় কর; 27 March 1914 – 25 January 1985) was an Indian film director and cinematographer who is known for his Classic film,''Saptapadi'' (1960). ''Ganashatru'' ( ''Gônoshotru'' Enemy of the People/ Public Enemy) is a 1990 Indian film directed by Satyajit Ray. It is an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's 1882 play ''An Enemy of the People'', and was released under that title in the UK.
