Pupil (band)
Pupil are a Filipino alternative rock band. They currently consist of vocalist Ely Buendia, lead guitarist Jerome Velasco, bassist Dok Sergio, and drummer Wendell Garcia. Formed as a spin-off of the Mongols, Pupil released their debut album '' Beautiful Machines'' in 2005. Jugo left soon after and was replaced by Garcia. The band released their second album '' Wild Life'' in 2007. Their third studio album, '' Limiters of the Infinity Pool'', was released in 2011, after which Yuzon left the band in 2013. Velasco joined the band in 2014 after having produced ''Wild Life''. They released their fourth studio album '' Zilch'' in 2015. Awit Awards
The Awit Awards are music awards in the Philippines given annually by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) to recognize the outstanding achievements in the music industry. The word "Awit" means "song" literally in Filipino. The first awards were given in 1969 at a ceremony in Makati. After three awards ceremonies were held, the Awit Awards were discontinued in 1972. In 1988, PARI brought back the awards and today, the organization still handles these awards. ''In Love and War'' is a collaborative studio album by Francis Magalona and Ely Buendia, posthumously released in May 25, 2010 after Magalona’s death. Francis Michael Durango Magalona (October 4, 1964 – March 6, 2009), also known as Francis M, was a Filipino rapper, songwriter, and actor. He is regarded as an influential figure in Pinoy hip hop. Raimund Marasigan
Raimund Emmanuel Parcon Marasigan (born May 22, 1971) is a Filipino musician and record producer. He is best known as the drummer of the alternative rock band Eraserheads. Marasigan has been described as "the busiest man in the Pinoy music scene". Raised in Candelaria, Quezon, Marasigan attended University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, where he met Ely Buendia, who had posted an audition notice for a new band.
