Pune Railway Division
Pune railway division is one of the five railway divisions under the jurisdiction of Central Railway zone of the Indian Railways. It has its headquarters located at Pune in the Indian state of Maharashtra state. The other railway divisions are Mumbai CSMT, Nagpur, Solapur and Bhusawal. There are 71 railway stations in Pune railway division. Background Pune Division includes four districts of the state of Maharashtra which are ''Pune'', ''Satara district, Satara'', ''Sangli'' and ''Kolhapur''. The division includes one A1 class railway station, four A class stations, 1 B class station, 14 C class stations, 10 D class stations, 31 E class stations and 12 F class stations which makes a total of 71 railway stations in the division. Central Railway (abbreviated CR) is one of the 19 zones of Indian Railways. Its headquarters are located at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai. Daund Junction Railway Station
Daund Junction railway station is a railway junction station on the Mumbai–Chennai route of Indian Railways located in Pune district, Maharashtra, India. The Daund–Manmad line and the Daund–Baramati branch line start from here. Daund is a major freight redistribution hub. History The Pune–Raichur sector of the Mumbai–Chennai line was opened in stages: the portion from Pune to Barshi Road was opened in 1859, from Barshi Road to Mohol in 1860 and from Mohol to Solapur also in 1860. Work on the line from Solapur southwards began in 1865, and the line was extended to Raichur in 1871. Uruli
''Uruli'' is a traditional cookware extensively used South Indian states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and more broadly in South India. It is also pronounced as Uruli and commonly made of clay, copper, brass or bronze. Urulis were used in home for cooking and in ayurvedha to make traditional medicine. A more modern use of urulis is as a decorative bowl to float flowers which is a part of South Indian tradition. It has a high capacity to retain heat, and an ability to preserve the flavour of food cooked in it. The uruli can be found in many traditional Malayali homes, which show them in several sizes, like the small ones that have a more decorative function or also the very large “varpu” which are used for cooking in big occasions that require a big amount of food. Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus (officially Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus Kolhapur) (station code: KOP) is the main railway terminus in the city of Kolhapur, India.
