Pullover Productions Ltd was a television production company responsible for a number of UK children's programmes in the 1980s. The company specialised in puppetry using black light theatre techniques, particularly animating everyday objects such as umbrellas, dishcloths, balls or shoes. History The company was founded by two Czechoslovakia, Czech refugees from the 1968 Prague Spring, invasion of Prague, Susan Kodicek and Rosta Cerny, along with TV producer, producer Maggie Clarke. Kodicek and Cerny had worked together in the theatre for a number of years as the ''Black Theatre Group of Prague'' (as distinct from the better known ''Black Light Theatre of Prague''), performing puppet-based Variety acts with Mike Yarwood and Paul Daniels, and two full-length shows, ''Plop'' and ''Big Me and the Wilting Witch'' for Greenwich Theatre. ''Vision On'' was a British children's television programme, shown on BBC1 from 1964 to 1976 and designed specifically for children with hearing impairment. Concept and production ''Vision On'' was conceived and developed by BBC producers Ursula Eason and Patrick Dowling to replace a monthly series ''For Deaf Children'' (1952–64), a programme paced slowly enough for children to read captions and subtitles. It was noted in surveys that a favourite for deaf children was ''Top of the Pops'', due to its lively and fast-moving format and that even the profoundly deaf could still enjoy the music's lower frequency notes. The Incorporated Television Company (ITC), or ITC Entertainment as it was referred to in the United States, was a British company involved in the production and distribution of television programmes. Mark Wynter (born Terence Sidney Lewis; 29 January 1943) is an English singer and actor, who had four Top 20 singles in the 1960s, including "Venus in Blue Jeans" and " Go Away Little Girl". He enjoyed a lengthy career from 1960 to 1968 as a pop singer and teen idol, and developed later into an actor in film, musicals and plays. ITV Granada, formerly known as Granada Television, is the ITV franchisee for the North West of England and Isle of Man. Greenwich Theatre
Greenwich Theatre is a local theatre located in Croom's Hill close to the centre of Greenwich in south-east London. Theatre first came to Greenwich at the beginning of the 19th century during the famous Eastertide Greenwich Fair at which the Richardson travelling theatre annually performed. The current Greenwich Theatre is the heir to two former traditions. It stands on the site of the Rose and Crown Music Hall built in 1855 on Crooms Hill at the junction with Nevada Street.
