Hadsel () is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Nordland Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Districts of Norway, traditional district of Vesterålen. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Stokmarknes. Some of the main villages in Hadsel include Fiskebøl, Jarstad, Grønning, Grytting, Hanøyvika, Hennes, Norway, Hennes, Kaldjorda, Melbu, Sanden, Nordland, Sanden, and Sandnes, Nordland, Sandnes. Stokmarknes
or is a town and the administrative centre of Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the northern coast of the island of Hadseløya and on the small, neighboring island of Børøya. The town has a population (2023) of 3,496 and a population density of . In 2000, Stokmarknes received " town status". Stokmarknes is the headquarters to the Hurtigruten coastal express company and also the Coastal Express Museum. The local hospital for the whole Vesterålen region ( Nordland Hospital Vesterålen) is located in the town as well. Stokmarknes is the home town of Norwegian band Madrugada. The historic Hadsel Church is located about east of Stokmarknes. The Børøy Bridge and Hadsel Bridge connect Stokmarknes to the islands of Børøya and Langøya to the north. Kaldjorda
Kaldjorda is a village in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located along the Hadselfjorden on the island of Hinnøya. The area surrounding Kaldjorda is known as Innlandet or Hadsel Innland and it includes the neighboring villages of Hennes, Kvitnes, Kvantoelv, and Fiskfjord. There are approximately 600 people that live in the area. Kaldjorda lies at the east end of the main road, with shops, petrol stations, a quay, and a ferry terminal (with connections to Lonkan and Hanøyvika, along the E10 highway). Stokmarknes Airport, Skagen
Stokmarknes Airport (; ) is an airport in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the island of Langøya, about northeast of the town of Stokmarknes and about southwest of the town of Sortland. Widerøe is the only approved scheduled air carrier to operate from the airport, using Canadian-built De Havilland Canada Dash 8 STOL (short take-off and landing) aircraft. Other frequent traffic includes ambulance flights (MEDEVAC) using Beechcraft Super King Airs operated by Babcock Scandinavian Air Ambulance. Børøy Bridge
The Børøy Bridge () is a bridge in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The bridge carries Norwegian County Road 82 between the town of Stokmarknes on the island of Hadseløya to the nearby island of Børøya. Together with the Hadsel Bridge it connects the islands of Hadseløya and Langøya. The bridge is long and its maximum clearing to the sea is . The Børøy Bridge was built in 1967, and was the first of the main bridges in the Vesterålen islands. Hadsel Bridge
The Hadsel Bridge () is a cantilever road bridge in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The bridge carries Norwegian County Road 82 and it crosses the Langøysundet strait between the islands of Langøya and Børøya. Together with the Børøy Bridge it connects the island of Hadseløya and the town of Stokmarknes to the neighboring island of Langøya. Austvågøya
Austvågøya is the northeasternmost and largest of the larger islands in the Lofoten archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located between the Vestfjorden and the Norwegian Sea. The island of Vestvågøya lies to the southwest and the large island of Hinnøya to the northeast. In 2017, the island had about 9,000 residents. Hinnøya ( Norwegian; ) is the fourth-largest island in Norway, and the largest outside the Svalbard archipelago. The lies just off the western coast of Northern Norway. The island sits on the border of Nordland and Troms counties. Børøya
or is a small island in Hadsel Municipality in Nordlandcounty, Norway. The island is located in the Langøysundet strait between the island of Langøya and the town of Stokmarknes on the island of Hadseløya. Børøya has an area of and the highest point on the island is above sea level. Norwegian County Road 82 runs across the island connecting it to Langøya and Hadseløya.
