Pulling Power
''Pulling Power'' is a regional motoring programme shown only on Central Television (ITV in the Midlands) in 1996. However, it returned in 2005 and was shown on ITV1 on a series trial basis until 2008, and it was also as a filler programme at times. It has also been shown on ITV4. Presenters included Mike Brewer, Edd China, Michele Newman, Mike Rutherford, and Sarah-Jane Mee. Driving
Driving is the controlled operation and movement of a vehicle, including cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, and bicycles. Permission to drive on public highways is granted based on a set of conditions being met and drivers are required to follow the established road and traffic laws in the location they are driving. Mike Brewer (television Presenter)
Mike Brewer (born 28 August 1964) is an English car trader turned presenter of motoring television programmes. He currently presents '' Wheeler Dealers'' on the Discovery Channel with Marc "Elvis" Priestley. Early life Brewer was born in 1964 in Lambeth, London, to Roger Wilks and Doreen Fitzgerald. His father Roger was the owner at one point of a Ford Popular called "Mr Popstar" , and was heavily involved in vehicle customizing, which helped Brewer discover his passion for motoring. Brewer's first car was a beige Mini 850cc. Edd China
Edward John China (born 9 May 1971) is an English television presenter, mechanic, motor specialist and inventor, best known as being presenter and mechanic on Discovery Channel's television show ''Wheeler Dealers''. He has also appeared on '' Top Gear'', '' Auto Trader'', ''Scrapheap Challenge'' and ''Fifth Gear''. Early life China developed an interest in cars and mechanics from an early age. He was educated at King Edward's School, Witley in Surrey, and he holds a degree in engineering product design from London South Bank University. Michele Newman
Michele Newman (born 8 March 1956) is an English journalist and television producer, previously a television presenter. Biography After studying at the University of York from 1977 to 1980, Newman worked at the ''Liverpool Echo''. Between 1981 and 1983, she lived in Italy and France to learn the languages, teaching English as a private tutor. During this time, she spent a year at the College International de Cannes in France. Her French language qualifications include the Alliance française (language and literature), the equivalent of an English A-Level. On returning to Britain in 1983, Newman began a presenting career on the regional BBC news programme '' Look East'' in Norwich, and in 1989 moved to ITV's '' Central News'' in Birmingham. Sarah-Jane Mee (born 10 July 1978) is a Sky News presenter and the anchor of '' The Sarah-Jane Mee Show''. From October 2016 until October 2019, Mee anchored ''Sunrise''. ITV4
ITV4 is a British free-to-air television channel which was launched on 1 November 2005. It is owned by ITV Digital Channels, a division of ITV plc, and is part of the ITV network. The channel has a line-up that consists of sports, cult classic films such as James Bond, US dramas, and classic ITV action series of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. James Allen (born 5 November 1966) is a British former TV commentator and journalist, now President of Motorsport Network who worked as Formula One (F1) commentator for ITV from 2000 to 2008, and subsequently as BBC Radio 5 Live F1 commentator, BBC F1 Correspondent, Financial Times F1 correspondent and presenter for Ten Sport in Australia. He lives in London with his wife, Pip, and their two sons, Enzo and Emerson. Sally Jean Gray MBE (born June 1968) is a Scottish television presenter. Life and career Education and early career Gray earned a BA Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Ken Morley
Kenneth Morley (born 17 January 1943) is an English actor and comedian best known for playing the role of Reg Holdsworth in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' from 1989 to 1995 and General Leopold von Flockenstuffen in the BBC sitcom '''Allo 'Allo!'' from 1988 to 1991. Early life Morley was born in Chorley Hospital in Chorley, Lancashire. He was the only child born to engineer father Frank Morley and his mother Phyllis Morley.
