Pudian Road Station (Line 4)

There is also another station named Pudian Road Station on Line 6, which used to have the same name as this station prior to the name change. While these two stations are situated relatively close to each other, the two stations are not interchangeable; they are located along different parts of Pudian Road. Adjacent stations on both directions, Lancun Road station and Century Avenue station, can be used to interchange Line 6. Service began at this station on 31 December 2005. Pudong
Pudong is a list of administrative divisions of Shanghai, district of Shanghai located east of the Huangpu River, Huangpu, the river which flows through central Shanghai. The name ''Pudong'' was originally applied to the Huangpu's east bank (geography), bank, directly across from the west bank or Puxi, the historic city center. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform (American English) or centre platform (British English)) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are sometimes used between the opposite-direction tracks on twin-track route stations as they are cheaper and occupy less area than other arrangements. Line 4 (Shanghai Metro)
Line 4 is a orbital (metro), loop line of the Shanghai Metro network. The older rolling stock 04A01 carry a bright purple colour belt to differentiate them from Line 3 (Shanghai Metro), Line 3 trains which share a portion of its route, while the newer 04A02 stock features a yellow and purple livery, which the exact line is labelled using sticker or screens saying "Line 3" or "Line 4". To determine the direction of travel, the line that travels counter-clockwise is called the ''Outer Loop'' (), while the other line is known as the ''Inner Loop'' (). Although it is a loop line, trains returning to the depot use as a terminal to let all passengers disembark. Line 6 (Shanghai Metro)
Line 6 is an eastern north–south line of the Shanghai Metro network. It opened on December 29, 2007. The entire line is located in the Pudong New Area. A complete trip between the two end terminals, and takes approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. Line 6 has been dubbed the unofficial nickname “Hello Kitty Line” due to its lurid pink livery.
