Post Fire
The Post Fire was a large wildfire that burned southwest of Gorman and Lebec along Interstate 5 in Los Angeles County, California in the United States. Igniting on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Ralph's Ranch and Gorman Post Road alongside Interstate 5, the fire grew rapidly due to anticipated windy red flag conditions that had persisted in much of California through that weekend. The fire eventually ballooned to an estimated and destroyed one structure, burning much of its acreage in the Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area. It involved portions of two counties, Los Angeles County and Ventura County, and was declared contained after burning for 11 days. By the end of 2024, a total of 8,024 wildfires burned a cumulative throughout the U.S. state of California. Hughes Fire
From January 7 to 31, 2025, a series of 14 destructive wildfires affected the Los Angeles metropolitan area and San Diego County in California, United States. Pyramid Lake is a reservoir formed by Pyramid Dam on Piru Creek in the eastern Topatopa Mountains, near Castaic, Southern California.
