Populist Caucus
The Populist Caucus refers to two short-lived caucuses that have been formed within the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party caucus in the United States House of Representatives. The first caucus was formed in February 1983 by 14 Democrats, primarily from rural areas. The second caucus was created in March 2009 by Democrat Bruce Braley of Iowa, who named the first caucus as a direct inspiration. The caucus included at least 33 members of the House, all of which are from the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party. Jim Oberstar
James Louis Oberstar (September 10, 1934 – May 3, 2014) was an American politician who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1975 to 2011. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, he represented northeastern , which included the cities of Duluth, Brainerd, Grand Rapids, International Falls, and Hibbing. He was chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee from 2007 to 2011, and ranking minority member prior to that. Leonard Boswell
Leonard Leroy Boswell (January 10, 1934 – August 17, 2018) was an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 1997 to 2013, a district based in Des Moines. A member of the Democratic Party, he was defeated for reelection in 2012 by 4th district incumbent Tom Latham, who decided to run against him after redistricting. Betty Sue Sutton (born July 31, 1963) is an American politician who currently serves as a Judge of Ohio's 9th District Court of Appeals. Keith Ellison (politician)
Keith Maurice Ellison (born August 4, 1963) is an American politician and lawyer serving as the 30th attorney general of Minnesota. A member of the Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), Ellison was the U.S. representative for from 2007 to 2019. He also served as the titular deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2017 to 2018. Donna Edwards
Donna Fern Edwards (born June 28, 1958) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2008 to 2017. The district included most of Prince George's County, as well as part of Anne Arundel County. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Rosa DeLauro
Rosa Luisa DeLauro (; born March 2, 1943) is an American politician who has been the U.S. representative for since 1991. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
