Pocahontas (character)
Pocahontas is the titular protagonist of Walt Disney Animation Studios' 1995 film ''Pocahontas''. The character is loosely based on the actual historical figure Pocahontas (1596–1617), the daughter of a Native American Tsenacommacah-paramount chief of the Powhatan paramountcy. Pocahontas is also a character in the Disney Princess franchise, making her the seventh Disney Princess, the first Disney Princess to be based on a real person, and the first American Disney Princess. Pocahontas is voiced by Native American actress Irene Bedard in the films and all related media. Bedard also served as one of the physical models for the character. Pocahontas' singing voice is performed by Broadway singer Judy Kuhn. John Smith (explorer)
John Smith ( – 21 June 1631) was an English soldier, explorer, colonial governor, admiral of New England, and author. He was knighted for his services to Sigismund Báthory, Prince of Transylvania, and his friend Mózes Székely. Following his return to England from a life as a soldier of fortune and as a slave, he played an important role in the establishment of the colony at Jamestown, Virginia, the first permanent English colonial empire, English settlement in North America, in the early 17th century. He was a leader of the Virginia Colony between September 1608 and August 1609, and he led an exploration along the rivers of Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay, during which he became the first English explorer to map the Chesapeake Bay area. Tom Sito
Tom Sito (born May 19, 1956) is an American animator, animation historian and teacher. He is currently a professor at USC's School of Cinematic Arts in the Animation Division. In 1998, Sito was included by ''Animation Magazine'' in their list of the One Hundred Most Important People in Animation.''Animation Magazine'', November 1998. Early life Tom Sito was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the son of a fireman. Sito first began studying animation while attending cartooning classes at the High School of Art and Design. Eric Goldberg (animator)
Eric Allen Goldberg (born May 1, 1955) is an American animator, voice actor, film director, and producer known for his work at Walt Disney Animation Studios and 20th Century Animation, as well as Warner Bros. Animation. Life and career Goldberg was born and raised in Levittown, Pennsylvania, and moved to Cherry Hill, New Jersey as a child, where he attended Cherry Hill High School East. Goldberg later studied at Pratt Institute, where he majored in illustration. He first entered the industry in the mid-1970s working on '' Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure'' for the Richard Williams studio, eventually moving to Williams' London studio and rising through the ranks from assistant to director. Tiger Lily is a fictional character in J. M. Barrie's 1904 play ''Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up'', his 1911 novel ''Peter and Wendy'', and their various adaptations. Mike Gabriel (born November 5, 1954) is an American animator and film director, best known for his work at Walt Disney Animation Studios and as co-director of the Disney animated films ''The Rescuers Down Under'' (1990) and ''Pocahontas (1995 film), Pocahontas'' (1995).
