Plug In Digital is a French video game publisher and distributor. They were founded in 2012 and established two subsidiaries since then: Dear Villagers (formerly Playdius), who publish mid-market games for personal computers and consoles, and PID Games, who publish games of all varieties. History Francis Ingrand founded Plug In Digital in 2012 in Paris. Seven years later, they relocated to Montpellier. They initially focused on assisting studios and video game publishers with digital distribution. They handle sales, marketing, and other distribution issues. They expanded into China in 2019. They acquired Black Shell Media's publishing operations in 2021 and took over their contracts. They announced an NFT program in 2022 but canceled it due to a backlash. ''A Normal Lost Phone'' is a 2017 puzzle video game developed by Accidental Queens and published by Playdius and Plug In Digital, released on Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. The game was programmed by Diane Landais. In September 2017, a spiritual sequel to the game was released, entitled ''Another Lost Phone: Laura's Story''. The games explore themes of LGBT identity and domestic abuse by asking the player to investigate the phone of a stranger. A Nintendo Switch version was released in 2019. It was renamed to ''Dead in Vinland: True Viking Edition''. Gameplay A Viking family becomes shipwrecked on an island named Vinland, a reference to the historical Vinland settlement in North America.
