Piret Krumm (born 20 January 1989) is an Estonian actress, singer, and comedian whose career began in the early 2010s. She has performed as a stage, television, film and voice actress, as well as a jury panelist for the ''Eesti Laul'' competition. She is a singer for the Tallinn-based band Diskofon. Piret Saluri (née Piret Rõuk; born October 22, 1943) is an Estonian translator and diplomat. Education Piret Saluri studied at and Tallinn High School No. 21, where she graduated in 1962. In 1962, she entered Tartu State University to study medicine. In 1971, she graduated from the university's Estonian philology program in the journalism track with her thesis ''Isikuintervjuu mõnedest probleemidest'' (The Personal Interview about Some Problems), supervised by Helle Tiisväli. Career From 1964 to 1972, Saluri worked at Estonian Television, first as an editor of children's and youth programs, and later literary programs. Piret Raud (born 15 July 1971) is a contemporary Estonian author and illustrator. Biography Raud was born 15 July 1971. She is the daughter of Estonian children's authors Eno Raud and Aino Pervik. Her brothers are scholar and author Rein Raud and musician and writer Mihkel Raud. She graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in printmaking, and initially set off on the same path. After trying her hand at writing, Raud has since become the most renowned and widely translated children's author in Estonia. She has written about 20 titles, has been translated into 14 different languages, and has illustrated more than 50 titles. Since 2018, she has mainly been writing for older audiences. Early life and education Piret Laurimaa was born in Pärnu to Tiit Laurimaa and Aave Uus (''née'' Meriluht). She has three half-siblings. Vanilla Ninja is an Estonian all-female rock music, rock band which enjoyed chart success in a number of countries across Europe, especially in Estonia, Germany and Austria. The group formed in 2002 and released their self-titled debut album ''Vanilla Ninja (album), Vanilla Ninja'', containing songs in both English and Estonian, the following year. After their debut single "Club Kung Fu" was released in 2003, the band had many hits in Central Europe, including "Tough Enough", "When the Indians Cry", "Blue Tattoo" and "I Know". Piret Järvis (born 6 February 1984 in Tallinn) is an Estonian television host and a singer, guitarist, and songwriter of the popular rock band Vanilla Ninja. Born to Maire and Enno Järvis she has an older sister and a younger brother. After graduating high school she entered International University of Concordia where she was majoring in Media and Public Relations. Later she continued to study journalism at the University of Tartu. She was one of the four members to form Vanilla Ninja in 2002 and wrote lyrics for the song "Club Kung Fu" that made Vanilla Ninja well known in Estonia.
