Piret Bristol
Piret Bristol (born 18 April 1968) is an Estonian poet, prosaist, and novelist. From 1986 to 2001, she studied Estonian literature in Tartu University. From 1996 to 2007, she was a freelance writer. From 2007 to 2011, she was a copy editor for the newspaper ''Postimees''. From 2011 to 2014, she was the head of the Tartu branch of the Estonian Writers' Union The Estonian Writers' Union (, abbr. Estonia, officially the Republic of Estonia, is a country in Northern Europe. Postimees
is an Estonian daily newspaper established on 5 June 1857, by Johann Voldemar Jannsen. In 1891, it became the first daily newspaper in Estonia. Its current editor-in-chief is Priit Hõbemägi. The paper has approximately 250 employees. ''Postimees'' is currently published five days a week and has the largest circulation and readership in Estonia with 55,000 copies sold during the workweek and over 72,000 on weekends. Ninety-seven per cent of the paper's circulation is subscription-based with only three per cent sold individually. The Estonian Writers' Union (, abbr.
