Pippie (foaled 13 October 2015) is a multiple Group 1 winning Australian bred thoroughbred racehorse. Background Pippie was bred at Eureka Stud in Cambooya, Queensland and later sold through the 2017 Inglis Classic Yearling sale in Sydney. She was purchased for A$60,000 by her trainer John Meagher. Racing career 2017/18: two-year-old season Pippie made her race debut on the 5 July 2018 in a 1,000 metre race at Cranbourne. Taken straight to the front by jockey Noel Callow, Pippie streaked away from her rivals to win by 5 lengths. 2018/19: three-year-old season On 4 August 2018, Pippie contested a 1,000 metre handicap for three year old fillies at Moonee Valley. Jumping slowly from the barriers she settled midfield throughout the race. Written Tycoon (foaled 6 September 2002) is a Group races, stakes winning Australian Thoroughbred racehorse and successful sire who has sired multiple Group One, Group 1 winners. Racing career Written Tycoon commenced his race career with an easy win at Randwick Racecourse, Randwick as a pronounced 7/4 favourite. Two weeks later, he was narrowly beaten by filly Fashions Afield at Randwick. Fashions Afield would later frank the form in claiming the Sires' Produce Stakes (ATC), Sires' Produce Stakes and Reisling Stakes. Linda Meech
Linda Meech (born 1980) is an Australian jockey. Born in New Zealand, she went to Australia on a working holiday in 1998 and stayed. Life and career Meech grew up on the family farm in Pongaroa, in the Manawatū-Whanganui region of New Zealand's North Island. She began her jockey's apprenticeship in Queensland, then moved to New South Wales before settling in Victoria. She rode in her first race in 1999. In November 2013 she became the second Australian woman, after Clare Lindop in 2008, to win 1000 races. She won her first Group One race on Plucky Belle in the Coolmore Classic in March 2015. Flemington Racecourse is a major horse racing venue located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Damien Oliver (born 22 June 1972) is an Australian Retirement, retired thoroughbred racing jockey. Oliver comes from a racing family; his father Ray Oliver had a successful career until his death in a race fall during the 1975 Kalgoorlie Cup in Western Australia.
