Pimp That Snack
Pimp That Snack is a website which received media attention during April 2006. The website features guides on creating giant versions of everyday snacks. Articles are submitted by members of the public and a voting system allows people to rate each pimp from 1 to 100. Initially known as 'Pimp My Snack', the site changed name during May 2006 following contact from Viacom legal representatives, who claimed that the name of the website was an infringement on trademarks relating to their ''Pimp My Ride'' television program. The website creator Pete Wilcock, from Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, Greater Manchester, has been interviewed on national radio, newspapers, and popular magazines such as '' Zoo'', ''Nuts'', and '' Loaded''. On 2 August 2006, the Channel 4 food programme '' The F-Word'' did a segment on the website. Food critic Giles Coren "pimped" a giant Jaffa cake. ''The F Word'' (also called ''Gordon Ramsay's F Word'') is a British cookery programme featuring chef Gordon Ramsay. The programme covers a wide range of topics, from recipes to food preparation and celebrity food fads. The programme was made by Optomen Television and aired weekly on Channel 4. The theme tune for the series is "The F-Word" from the Babybird album ''Bugged''. ''Ready Steady Cook'' is a BBC daytime TV cooking game show. It debuted on 24 October 1994 and the last original edition was broadcast on 2 February 2010. The programme was hosted by Fern Britton from 1994 until 2000 when celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott became the new host. Annie Mac
Annie Mac (born 18 July 1978), is an Irish DJ, broadcaster and writer. She hosted a variety of shows on BBC Radio 1, including BBC Switch and ''Future Sounds''. She also DJed in various locations, including hosting her AMP (Annie Mac Presents) Lost and Found venues in places like Ibiza. Personal life Annie Mac was born in Dublin, Ireland on 18 July 1978. After attending Wesley College in Dublin, she studied English literature at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. Annie lives in Queen's Park, London. She has a son (born May 2013) with her husband DJ Toddla T. She gave birth to her second child on 6 January 2017. While she was on maternity leave her radio show was presented by MistaJam and then Mac returned to the station on 12 June 2017. Jaffa Cake
Jaffa Cakes are a cake introduced by McVitie and Price in the UK in 1927 and named after Jaffa oranges. The most common form of Jaffa cakes are circular, in diameter and have three layers: a Genoise sponge base, a layer of orange flavoured jam and a coating of chocolate. Each cake is 46 calories. Jaffa Cakes are also available as bars or in small packs, and in larger and smaller sizes. The original Jaffa Cakes now come in packs of 10, 20, 30, or 40, having been downsized in 2017 from 12 or 24 per pack. Because McVitie's did not register the name "Jaffa Cakes" as a trademark, other biscuit manufacturers and supermarkets have made similar products under the same name.
