Pilot
An aircraft pilot or aviator is a person who controls the flight of an aircraft by operating its Aircraft flight control system, directional flight controls. Some other aircrew, aircrew members, such as navigators or flight engineers, are also considered aviators because they are involved in operating the aircraft's navigation and engine systems. Other aircrew members, such as drone operators, flight attendants, Aircraft maintenance technician, mechanics and Line technician (aviation), ground crew, are not classified as aviators. Amber Run are a British indie rock band from Nottingham, composed of Joshua "Joe" Keogh, Tom Sperring, and Henry Wyeth. The band have released three full-length albums, three mini-albums, and five EPs. Initially called Amber, they later changed their name to avoid conflict with the Dutch dance-pop singer of same name. History Formation Joshua Keogh, Tom Sperring, and Will Jones were originally friends from Buckinghamshire at Dr Challoner's Grammar School, where they played in an alternative rock band. With Felix Archer from the same area and Henry Wyeth from Kent, they met while studying at the University of Nottingham. They all studied for degrees in humanities and law but abandoned their studies in the second year to focus on the band. The ''Pilot EP'' was the first official release by British rock band Reuben. This recording was with the original Reuben line up, including Mark Lawton on drums. It was recorded in the summer of 2000 at Backline studios in Guildford with ex Redwood guitarist Rob Blackham. The band had met Rob at Guildford festival, where he urged them to record a demo of some sort, so they set about recording five songs in four days. The EP was released on the Badmusic label in January 2001. The initial run was of 500 copies, which sold out fairly fast, but it is regularly repressed and is available at shows and by mail order. ''Pilot'' is the début EP released and produced by the British alternative rock band Mallory Knox. Release After approximately 3 months of writing songs, the band started to play local shows in Cambridge around November. They later recorded this EP at Studio Glasseye with the help of producer Dan Lancaster ( We Are The Ocean, Lower Than Atlantis). The band released the EP on 14 July after gaining more exposure by getting as many people as they could to listen to their songs. Critical reception This EP was met with mostly positive reviews, although not many due to the minor popularity of the band at the time of release. Pilot are a Scottish rock group, formed in 1973 in Edinburgh by David Paton and Billy Lyall. They achieved considerable mainstream success during 1974–1975, primarily with the release of " Magic" which reached number one in Canada, five on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100, six in Ireland and eleven in the United Kingdom.
