The album was remastered and rereleased through Metropolis under the title Pigmata in 2005, as a PIG album, with three additional tracks mixed by Isaac Glendening of Cesium 137. Album information Raymond Watts' first release since 1999's ''Genuine American Monster'', ''Pigmartyr'' is a bit of a departure from typical Pig material. Gone are most of the bombastic string sections and orchestral influence, ''Pigmartyr'' takes a turn toward the hard rock side, and has a much more raw and stripped down feel. The album was largely recorded in London, UK with a number of collaborators, including a duet ("Take") with glamorous UK rockchick Harry (aka Dirty Harry) and a couple of co-writes ("Situation" and "Here To Stay") with Marc Heal of Cubanate. Pig (musical Project) Albums
The pig (''Sus domesticus''), often called swine, hog, or domestic pig when distinguishing from other members of the genus ''Sus'', is an omnivorous, domesticated, even-toed, hoofed mammal. It is variously considered a subspecies of ''Sus scrofa'' (the wild boar or Eurasian boar) or a distinct species. The pig's head-plus-body length ranges from , and adult pigs typically weigh between , with well-fed individuals even exceeding this range. The size and weight of hogs largely depends on their breed. Compared to other artiodactyls, a pig's head is relatively long and pointed. Most even-toed ungulates are herbivorous, but pigs are omnivores, like their wild relative. Pigs grunt and make snorting sounds. When used as livestock, pigs are farmed primarily for the production of meat, called pork. A group of pigs is called a ''passel'', a ''team'', or a ''sounder''. The animal's bones, hide, and bristles are also used in products. Pigs, especially miniature breeds, are kept as pets ... Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Cromagnon, Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Industrial rock became more prominent in the 1980s with the success of artists such as Killing Joke, Swans, and partially Skinny Puppy, and later spawned the offshoot genre known as industrial metal. The genre was made more accessible to mainstream audiences in the 1990s with the aid of acts such as Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, both of which have released platinum-selling records. History Origins (late 1970s and 1980s) Richie Unterberger assessed the Red Krayola as "a precursor to industrial rock" with their 1967 record '' The Parable of Arable Land'' exhibiting music made by 50 people on anything from industrial power tools to a revving motorcycle whilst ''Pitchfork'''s Alex Lindhart assessed their 1968 follow ...
