Compound Eye Sessions
Compound Eye Sessions is an collaboration between Marc Heal (Ashtrayhead, Cubanate) as ''MC Lord of the Flies'' and Raymond Watts (PIG, ex- KMFDM). Two songs from the PIG side of the EP titled "''Drugzilla''" and "''Shake''" were previously released as rough mixes on Marc Heal's personal SoundCloud page. A limited run of 500 physical copies was released bArmalyte Recordson April 13, 2015. The EP is also available digitally through Bandcamp and iTunes. Pig (musical Project)
Raymond Watts (also known by his former stage names Nainz, Nainz Watts and Ray Scaballero) is an English musician, the founding and sole member of the industrial music project PIG, sometimes written as <PIG>. Watts was an early member and periodic collaborator of KMFDM, and has been a visible part of the industrial music scene since the early 1980s. He has toured with KMFDM, Nine Inch Nails, Schaft, Schwein, and Einstürzende Neubauten. History Recent activity (2010–present) Watts, Dr. Shinto and John Gosling released a four-song EP titled ''Mellan Rummen'' on 15 November 2010 on Amazon.com. Marc Heal
Marc Heal is an English musician, television producer and writer. He is best known as an industrial music artist of the 1990s, noted for mixing Heavy metal music, metal and techno with more traditional industrial sounds. His extroverted onstage behaviour was unusual in the generally downbeat industrial genre. His most influential project was Cubanate, founded 1992 with Graham Rayner, Phil Barry and Steve Etheridge. Cubanate produced four studio albums. Their final album release, ''Interference (Cubanate album), Interference'', came out in 1998. They reformed in 2010, and released a re-mastered greatest hits album, ''Brutalism'', in 2017. After performing several live dates again, they released the live album ''Live Brutalism'' in 2018, followed by the EP ''Kolossus'' in 2019 featuring new and remixed material. Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes. AllMusic defines industrial music as the "most abrasive and aggressive fusion of rock and electronic music" that was "initially a blend of avant-garde electronics experiments ( tape music, musique concrète, white noise, synthesizers, sequencers, etc.) and punk provocation". The term was coined in the mid-1970s with the founding of Industrial Records by members of Throbbing Gristle and Monte Cazazza. Long In The Tooth is an EP by PIG (Raymond Watts) and Primitive Race released June 5, 2015 through Metropolis Records. The EP contains three new songs and various remixes by Army of the Universe, Mary Byker, Praga Kahn and more. It is the first release by the industrial supergroup Primitive Race. Cubanate
Cubanate are an English industrial band from London, England, founded in 1992 by Marc Heal and Graham Rayner with Phil Barry and Steve Etheridge. The group became well known for their combination of electro-industrial with distorted heavy metal guitars and techno percussion (later incorporating breakbeats). History Cubanate played their first UK tour in November 1992 supporting leftfield UK techno duo Sheep on Drugs. The group signed to Berlin's Dynamica Records shortly afterwards. KMFDM
KMFDM (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, loosely translated by the band as "no pity for the majority") is a multinational industrial band from Hamburg led by Sascha Konietzko, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project. The band's earliest incarnation included German drummer En Esch and British vocalist Raymond Watts, the latter of whom left and rejoined the group several times over its history. The trio recorded the band's earliest albums in Germany before Konietzko and Esch moved to the United States, where they found much greater success with seminal industrial record label Wax Trax!.
