Pierre Chan
Pierre Chan (born 18 August 1976) is a Hong Kong medical doctor and politician. Chan was elected in the 2016 Hong Kong Legislative Council election through the Medical functional constituency. Early life Chan was born in Hong Kong in 1976. Education In 2000, Chan graduated with a medical degree from the University of Hong Kong. Career In 2001, Chan started his career at the Queen Mary Hospital until 2010. Chan joined Ruttonjee Hospital as an associate consultant of gastroenterology and hepatology. In 2014, Chan became president of the doctors' union, the Hong Kong Public Doctors' Association, until 2016. In 2014, Chan was appointed by the government to several public boards, including the Steering Committee on Review of the Hospital Authority until 2015. Ronick Chan Chun-ying (; born 1961) is a Hong Kong banker. He was the board secretary and is now an advisor at Bank of China (Hong Kong) and the vice-chairman as well as Secretary General of the Chinese Banking Association of Hong Kong. In the 2016 Hong Kong Legislative Council election, he was elected uncontestedly in the Finance functional constituency for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, representing the banking sector. The Hong Kong order of precedence is a nominal and symbolic hierarchy of important positions within the Government of Hong Kong. Eunice Yung Hoi-yan (; born 7 June 1977) is a Hong Kong barrister and pro-Beijing politician. She is a member of the New People's Party (NPP) and the Civil Force (CF). Hospital Authority
The Hospital Authority is a statutory body managing all the government hospitals and institutes in Hong Kong. It is under the governance of its board and is under the monitor of the Secretary for Food and Health of the Hong Kong Government. Its chairman is Henry Fan. History Before the establishment of the authority, all health and medical issues were under the management of the Medical and Health Department. In 1990, a new health administration system was introduced as part of the 1989 reforms. The establishment of the Authority served to rebuild state capacity amid the emergence of party politics in Hong Kong. The Queen Mary Hospital, located in Pok Fu Lam on Hong Kong Island of Hong Kong, is the public district general hospital and teaching hospital of the Faculty of Dentistry and Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong.
