Phool Aur Kaante
''Phool Aur Kaante'' () is a 1991 Indian Hindi-language action-romance film directed by Kuku Kohli. It stars Ajay Devgan, Madhoo, Aruna Irani, Jagdeep and Amrish Puri among others. The film marked the debut of Devgan, son of late stunt and action choreographer Veeru Devgan, and Madhoo, niece of actress Hema Malini. The film was a superhit and won Devgan the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for 1991. This film was remade in Telugu as '' Varasudu'' and in Odia as ''Dhire Dhire Prema Hela''. The film is loosely based on the Malayalam film ''Parampara'' directed by Sibi Malayil where Mammootty plays dual roles as Johnny, the protagonist and Lawrence, his father. ''Phool Aur Kaante'' was noted for its soundtrack and action sequences. Devgn's entry in the film became very popular where he appeared standing, balancing on two moving motorcycles. Kuku Kohli
Kuku Kohli (born Avtar Kohli; 4 June 1949) is a director, writer, editor and screenwriter of Bollywood Films. He was born in Peshawar. He gave Ajay Devgan his first break in Bollywood film '' Phool Aur Kaante''. Career Early in his career, he worked under Raj Kapoor for many years where he learned his skills. Kuku Kohli has been in the film industry for more than 30 years. He was the second unit director of the film '' Betaab'' which was the launch pad of Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh and catapulted both into stardom as it was a golden jubilee film. ''Lamhe'' (''Moments'') is a 1991 Indian musical romantic drama directed and produced by Yash Chopra and written by Honey Irani and Rahi Masoom Raza. The film stars Sridevi (in a dual role as both mother and daughter) and Anil Kapoor in lead roles, along with Waheeda Rehman, Anupam Kher, Deepak Malhotra, and Dippy Sagoo in pivotal supporting roles. Dadra and Nagar Haveli is a district of the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu in western India. It is composed of two separate geographical entities: Nagar Haveli, wedged in between Maharashtra and Gujarat states; and, to the north-west, the smaller enclave of Dadra, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Dadra, which is surrounded by Gujarat.
