Peter Zobel
Peter Zobel (18 June 1936 – 3 September 2017) was a Danish CEO of the insurance company Codan A/S. He was a lawyer, appointed Hofjægermester by the Royal Danish Court and owner of the estate, Bækkeskov in the south of Zealand. Frederiksberg
Frederiksberg () is a part of the Capital Region of Denmark. It is an independent municipality, Frederiksberg Municipality, separate from Copenhagen Municipality, but both are a part of the region of Copenhagen. It occupies an area of less than 9 km2 and had a population of 103,192 in 2015. It is the most densely populated municipality in denmark. Frederiksberg is an enclave surrounded by Copenhagen Municipality. Codan A/S (named after latin:''Sinus Codanus''; Baltic Sea) is a Danish insurance company, which was founded in 1916. The company is Scandinavia's third largest insurance company and operates also the company Trygg-Hansa in Sweden, and the group operates in the Baltic states and Norway. In Denmark, Codan concentrate on non-life insurance after having sold its life and pension insurance to the Swedish banking group SEB in 2004. The company has also previously operated bank activity, which also was sold to SEB in 1999. Hofjægermester (hunting master of the court) is an honorary court title awarded to a limited number of (major and usually noble) land owners (''godsejere'') by the Danish monarch. The title was introduced in Denmark-Norway during the period of absolute monarchy. Today, it's solely an honorary title. As of 1 March 2019, 52 persons hold the title in Denmark whereof 42 are men and 10 are women. Bækkeskov
Bækkeskov is a manor house and estate located eight kilometres north of Præstø, Denmark. The Neoclassical main building was built for Charles August Selby in 1796 to 1798 and was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918. It is located on a small hilltop in a parkland setting with views of Præstø Inlet. The home farm is located a few kilometres to the southwest of the main building. The estate is owned by Michael Immanuel Jebsen, the eldest son of Hong Kong–based businessman Hans Michael Jebsen. History Early history Bækkeskov is a relatively new manor. The equestrian events at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome included dressage, eventing, and show jumping. Eventing and show jumping presented both individual and team medals, dressage presented only individual medals.
