Peter Hetherston
Peter Hetherston (born 6 November 1964) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Hetherston played over 350 league matches during his seventeen-year playing career, appearing for eight different clubs. Hetherston was appointed as manager of Raith Rovers in 1999, spending two years with Rovers before resigning in December 2001. In May 2002, Hetherston was appointed manager of Albion Rovers, releasing fifteen players just a week later. Hetherston faced a charge in November 2003 for making sexist remarks about women in football and promptly resigned after another charge three weeks later. Hetherston – who is now a publican – was one of a number of players who featured in the 2001 film A Shot at Glory, starring Robert Duvall and Michael Keaton. Bellshill
Bellshill (pronounced "Bells hill") is a town in North Lanarkshire in Scotland, southeast of Glasgow city centre and west of Edinburgh. Other nearby localities are Motherwell to the south, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Hamilton to the southwest, Viewpark to the west, Holytown to the east and Coatbridge to the north. Fife Cup
The Fife Cup is a Scottish regional football competition for clubs in the historic county of Fife. The competition was founded by the Fifeshire Football Association in 1882. The competition was originally known as the "Fifeshire Cup" from 1882–1896 and the "Fife and District Cup" between 1896 and 1900. The 1995–96 season was the 99th season of competitive football in Scotland. Scottish Premier Division Summary Rangers won the Premier Division with a record 87 points, finishing four ahead of rivals Celtic. Aberdeen were third with 55 points (on goal difference). Falkirk were relegated after finishing bottom. Partick Thistle were relegated via the play-offs, losing 3–2 on aggregate to Dundee United, who returned to the Premier Division at the first attempt. This was the only occasion on which this short-lived play-off system relegated a team from the Premier Division. Rangers qualified for the European Cup, with Celtic and Aberdeen making it into the UEFA Cup. All three clubs entered at the qualifying round stage. The Scottish League Cup, also known as the Premier Sports Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17.
