Peace Chawinga-Kaluwa
Peace Chawinga-Kaluwa born Peace Chawinga (born c.1974) is a Malawian netball player and coach. She was a stalwart member of the Malawi national netball team for over twenty years and she became the national coach on more than one occasion. Life Chawinga was born in about 1974. She attended and played netball for St Pius Girls Primary School. Because she was interested in netball, she would watch older players at Blantyre Youth Centre to learn their tricks. While still at school she was chosen to play for the "Shelter Nets" team. In 1990, when she was sixteen and playing for the Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation, Admarc Tigresses, she was first included as a member of "The Queens" who are the Malawi national netball team by the coach, Grace Sithole. Chawinga was a member of the national team for over two decades. The Queens were coached by Chawinga in 2018. Martha Dambo (born 28 September 1993) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi in the position of goal defense. Career She was named in Malawi's squad for the 2013 Taini Jamison Trophy Series against New Zealand. She made her Commonwealth Games debut representing Malawi at the Commonwealth Games in 2018, where Malawi finished at seventh position. She was included in the Malawian squad for the 2019 African Netball Championships. She was also named in Malawian netball squad for the women's netball tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Grace Mwafulirwa Mhango (born 24 December 1987) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi in the positions of goal defense or wing defense. Towera Vinkhumbo (born 14 February 1991), also referred to as Towera Vinkhumbo-Nyirenda or Towera Nyirenda, is a Malawi netball international and a Malawi women's football international. As a netball player she represented Malawi at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011, 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cups. Takondwa Lwazi also spelt as Takwonda Lwazi (born 15 May 1992) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi internationally and for Malawian local club Blue Eagles in the positions of C and WA. She is known as one of the finest netball centre players to have played for Malawi despite being only 160cm tall in height. She also serves as a Police Sergeant in the Malawi Police Service. Joyce Mvula
Joyce Mvula (born 15 April 1994) is a Malawian netball player and winner of two Netball Superleague titles. Domestic career Mvula started playing netball at age 13 and became the first Malawian to play in the Netball Superleague after she was picked up by Manchester Thunder following the Netball World Cup in 2015. She has paved the way for a number of Malawian players to join the Superleague. Mvula played for Manchester Thunder for 6 years from 2017 until 2022, winning titles in 2019 and 2022. 2025 Netball Nations Cup
The 2025 Vitality Netball Nations Cup was an international netball series hosted and organised by England Netball in February 2025. It featured England, South Africa, Malawi and Uganda. The series was played over two successive weekends. The first weekend was played at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena, and the second weekend was played at London's Copper Box Arena. With a team coached by Jess Thirlby and captained by Fran Williams, England won the series after defeating South Africa 61–55 in the final. It proved sixth time lucky for England. Since the Nations Cup/Quad Series was established in 2012, England had finished as runners up five times. Uganda finished third after defeating Malawi 50–45 in a play-off.
