2025 Netball Nations Cup
The 2025 Vitality Netball Nations Cup was an international netball series hosted and organised by England Netball in February 2025. It featured England, South Africa, Malawi and Uganda. The series was played over two successive weekends. The first weekend was played at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena, and the second weekend was played at London's Copper Box Arena. With a team coached by Jess Thirlby and captained by Fran Williams, England won the series after defeating South Africa 61–55 in the final. It proved sixth time lucky for England. Since the Nations Cup/Quad Series was established in 2012, England had finished as runners up five times. Uganda finished third after defeating Malawi 50–45 in a play-off. The series was broadcast live on Sky Sports Mix and Sky Sports YouTube in the United Kingdom and Ireland, on SuperSport in South Africa and on NetballPass worldwide. Imogen Allison (born 24 April 1998) is an English netball player, who has represented the national side since 2020. At club level, she plays for Queensland Firebirds and has previously played for Manchester Thunder,Team Bath & Yorkshire Jets. Club career Allison plays as a wing defence or centre for Manchester Thunder. She played for Yorkshire Jets in the 2016 Netball Superleague season. She joined Team Bath ahead of the 2017 season. She re-signed for Bath for the 2018 season. During the 2019 season, Allison was Bath's captain when regular captains Eboni Usoro-Brown and Serena Guthrie were away on international duty. Grace Mwafulirwa
Grace Mwafulirwa Mhango (born 24 December 1987) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi in the positions of goal defense or wing defense. She has featured in four consecutive World Cup tournaments for Malawi in 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023. She has also competed at the Commonwealth Games on three successive occasions in 2010 and 2014 representing Malawi. In September 2019, she was included in the Malawian squad for the 2019 African Netball Championships. In 2023 she was in the national side when they played and were beaten by England in the Netball World Cup. Joyce Mvula
Joyce Mvula (born 15 April 1994) is a Malawian netball player and winner of two Netball Superleague titles. Domestic career Mvula started playing netball at age 13 and became the first Malawian to play in the Netball Superleague after she was picked up by Manchester Thunder following the Netball World Cup in 2015. She has paved the way for a number of Malawian players to join the Superleague. Mvula played for Manchester Thunder for 6 years from 2017 until 2022, winning titles in 2019 and 2022. She was named Sky Sports Fan's Favourite Player of the Season in 2019. Mvula was named in the Netball Superleague All Stars team who played a series against England Netball in January 2021. Takondwa Lwazi
Takondwa Lwazi also spelt as Takwonda Lwazi (born 15 May 1992) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi internationally and for Malawian local club Blue Eagles in the positions of C and WA. She is known as one of the finest netball centre players to have played for Malawi despite being only 160cm tall in height. She also serves as a Police Sergeant in the Malawi Police Service. Career She was part of the Malawi team which finished at fifth position at the 2013 Fast5 Netball World Series. In the same tournament, Malawi stunned England twice in the round robin match and in the playoff for the fifth place. Thandie Galleta (born 27 January 1993) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi national netball team, Malawi in the positions of WA or C. She has played in two Commonwealth Games and in 2025 she was an experienced member of the squad. Martha Dambo (born 28 September 1993) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi in the position of goal defense. Career She was named in Malawi's squad for the 2013 Taini Jamison Trophy Series against New Zealand. Olivia Tchine (born 22 November 2000) is an English international netball player who plays for London Pulse in the Netball Super League. Early life and education Tchine began playing netball at James Dixon Primary School, then more seriously as part of her first club Sabina. She attended the University of East London. Domestic career London Pulse Tchine is a product of the London Pulse pathway and made her senior debut for the club in the 2019 Super League season. Razia Quashie (born 16 September 1997) is a netball player who plays for England and the London Mavericks. She had her senior debut with the England national netball team in October 2018 in the Sunshine Series against Jamaica. Early life and education Quashie was born on the south Caribbean islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and played a range of sports as a child, crediting her mother for her interest in netball. She has a degree in Sports Science from Brunel University and also a Masters degree. Berri Neil (born 12 February 2003) is an English international netball player. She plays for Loughborough Lightning in the Netball Super League and is part of the English national team. Early life and education Neil grew up in Manchester and started playing netball at 9 years old at school. She later joined YWCA Bury netball club and then Oldham Netball Club. Neil attended Parrenthorn High School and Bury College. Funmi Fadoju
Funmi Fadoju (born 15 August 2002) is an English netball player, who has represented the national team since 2022, and was a member of the England team that came second at the 2023 Netball World Cup. Fadoju plays for London Pulse in the Netball Super League. Early life and education Fadoju is from Dagenham, London. She attended Eastbury Community School, and won a schools cross-country competition in 2017. Domestic career London Pulse Fadoju is tall, which is comparatively short for a defender.
