Payner
Payner LTD ( bg, "Пaйнер" ООД) is an independent Bulgarian record label and production company. It was founded in 1990 by Bulgarian businessman Mitko Dimitrov. It is the biggest record label in the country with 80 artists currently signed in their roster. Originally Payner started with the production of audio and videotapes for the Bulgarian market and for exportations abroad. As of today, the company owns their own record studio, founded in 1995. 3 television channels - Planeta TV since 2001, Planeta Folk since 2007, and Planeta HD since 2010. As well as 2 complexes - "Prikazkite" in Harmanli. Bulgaria and "Planeta Payner" in Dimitrovgrad. Production facilities and the head office of Payner LTD are situated in Dimitrovgrad. Mitko Dimitrov
Mitko Dimitrov (Bulgarian: Митко Димитров; born 1953 in Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria) is a prominent Bulgarian businessman. As the owner and CEO of the Payner music company promoting pop-folk music, Dimitrov belongs to the group of the most successful entrepreneurs from South-East Europe region. He discovered and brought to fame many modern stars of the Bulgarian pop-folk music scene. Biography Dimitrov is a graduate of the Engineering Faculty at the Technical University of Varna. During ''the Zhivkov era'' he worked as a mechanical engineer and later as a chief engineer. In 1990 he started his company Payner. Chalga
Chalga (; often referred to as pop-folk, short for "popular folk" or ethno-pop, short for "ethnic pop") is a Bulgarian music genre. Chalga or pop-folk is essentially a folk-inspired dance music genre, with a blend of Bulgarian music (Bulgarian ethno-pop genre) and also primary influences from Greek, Turkish and Arabic. Harmanli
Harmanli ( bg, Харманли , tr, Harmanlı) is a town in Haskovo Province, south-central Bulgaria. It is the administrative centre of the eponymous Harmanli Municipality. Near the site of Hamanli in Late Antiquity, during the early 4th-century Cibalensean War, the Battle of Mardia was fought between the Roman emperors Licinius and Constantine the Great.
