Pavalar Varadharajan
Ramasamy Daniel Varadharajan, popularly known as "Pavalar" Varadharajan, was a singer, lyricist, composer, musician, and playwright from Tamil Nadu, India. He headed a musical troupe named ''Pavalar Brothers'' in the 1960s. The group consisted of his later popular brothers - R. D. Bhaskar, Ilaiyaraaja, and Gangai Amaran. He was known for his campaigns for the Communist Party of India (CPI). When the party 1964 split in the Communist Party of India, underwent a split in 1964, he joined its breakaway faction - Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI(M). In his last year of life, he was associated with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). Early life Varadharajan was born in Pannaipuram village (now a town in Theni district of Tamil Nadu) as the first child of Chinnathayi, who was the second wife of Ramasamy, an estate supervisor. Vasuki Bhaskar
Vasuki Bhaskar is an Indian fashion and costume designer, working in the Tamil film industry. She is the daughter of film producer R.D. Bhaskar and Pavalar Creations is their own production house. Career Vasuki was born as the only daughter to the late R. D. Bhaskar, film producer and brother of legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja. Her brothers are film director Parthi Bhaskar and playback singer and actor Hari Bhaskar, who briefly worked on an unfinished film titled ''Oru Idhayam Oru Kaathal'' in 2004, and ''Viyugam'', opposite Kanchi Kaul. Theni District
Theni District is one of the 38 districts of Tamil Nadu state in India. Surrounded by hills, the district is located to the west of Madurai district. The town of Theni is the district headquarters. The district is divided into two natural divisions by the hills and is further subdivided into five Taluks: Theni, Bodinayakanur, Periyakulam, Uthamapalayam and Andipatti. 1964 Split In The Communist Party Of India
In 1964, a major split occurred in the Communist Party of India (CPI). The split was the culmination of decades of tensions and factional infighting. When India became independent in 1947, differences arose of how to adapt to the new situation. As relations between prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru's government and the Soviet Union improved, a faction that sought cooperation with the dominant Indian National Congress (INC) emerged within CPI. This tendency was led by S.A. Dange, whose role in the party hierarchy became increasingly controversial. When the Sino-Indian War broke out in 1962 Dange's opponents within CPI were jailed, but when they were released they sought to challenge his leadership. Carnatic music (known as or in the Dravidian languages) is a system of music commonly associated with South India, including the modern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and southern Odisha. Premji Amaren
Prem Kumar Gangai Amaren (born 26 February 1979), better known as Premgi or Premji () is an Indian singer, composer, songwriter, actor and comedian. The son of composer and director Gangai Amaran, he often composes rap songs in Tamil cinema and is known for his comical performances in his elder brother Venkat Prabhu's films. He is also best known for his catchphrases "Enna koduma sir idhu?" () and "Evvalavo pannitom, itha panna mattoma?"
