Pat Nagle
Patrick Nagle (born September 21, 1987) is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. Playing career On March 22, 2011, the Tampa Bay Lightning signed the undrafted free agent to a two-year entry-level contract. He played NCAA hockey at Ferris State University prior to turning professional. In his first professional season in 2011–12, with the Florida Everblades, Nagle shared primary goaltending duties with John Muse, playing 39 games. During the playoffs, Nagle recorded the best goals against average and tied for first in save percentage, at 1.42 and .941, respectively. After winning the Kelly Cup, Nagle was called up to the AHL for the Lightning organization's affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, during their Calder Cup championship series against the Toronto Marlies. Syracuse Crunch
The Syracuse Crunch are a professional ice hockey team based in Syracuse, New York. They are the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning. They play in they home games at the Upstate Medical University Arena. History Vancouver and Pittsburgh affiliations (1994–2000) The franchise originated in 1992 as the Hamilton Canucks, which was an affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks played in Hamilton, Ontario, for two seasons, before relocating to upstate New York in 1994. They were then renamed the "Crunch" from a public vote that included five names. Kelly Cup
The Patrick J. Kelly Cup goes to the playoff champion of the ECHL. The Kelly Cup has been awarded to teams since 1997. Prior to 1997, the playoff winner was awarded the Riley Cup, named after former American Hockey League president Jack Riley. The current cup is named after Patrick J. Kelly, the league's first commissioner. The cup is loaned to the winning team for one year and is returned at the start of the following year's playoffs, although the trophy itself has been replaced three times with the first two iterations preserved in the Hockey Hall of Fame. The Kelly Cup Playoffs Most Valuable Player award is also given out as part of the Kelly Cup Championship ceremonies. The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a minor professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams across the United States and Canada. NHL contracts Two-way contract A two-way contract is a professional sports contract which stipulates that an athlete's salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. One-way contract A one-way contract means that the player is paid the same amount of money regardless of whether he plays in the National Hockey League (NHL) or American Hockey League (AHL). Idaho Steelheads
The Idaho Steelheads are an American professional minor league ice hockey team based in Boise, Idaho, and a member of the ECHL. The Steelheads play in the Mountain Division of the ECHL's Western Conference since the 2016–17 season.
