''Party Tricks'' was an Australian television political drama/comedy series starring Asher Keddie and Rodger Corser. It premiered on Network Ten on 6 October 2014 at 8:30pm. On 3 October 2014 John Edwards confirmed that ''Party Tricks'' would not return for a second series in 2015, due to Ten's production division running out of money. Plot Kate Ballard (Asher Keddie) is facing her first re-election as State Premier. Neil Melville is an Australian actor. Early life Melville was born in Sydney, but spent most of his childhood in Apollo Bay, Victoria. In the early 1970s he was lead singer of Geelong rock band 'SteamHammer'. Melville graduated from Adelaide's Flinders University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Literature, Philosophy and Drama. He performed in a number of university productions, including, most notably, the world premiere of Jack Hibberd's ''The Les Darcy Show'' for the Adelaide Festival in 1974.
