''Pardah'' is a Pakistani Urdu film directed, produced and written by Nazir Ajmeri. It stars Shamim Ara and Habib in young to old roles. The film is about a man who kept one his secret under wraps for years. Music was composed by Safdar Hussain. At Box office, the film performed averagely. Ali Sufiyan Afaqi
Ali Sufiyan Afaqi (22 August 1933 27 January 2015; sometimes spelled Sufyan Afaqi) was a Pakistani film producer, director, writer, and journalist. He made his debut in Lollywood films with his first ever Urdu film ''Thandi Sarak'' in 1957, and later appeared in other films as a writer and director, however he earned recognition as a film producer. He wrote about twenty eight books on travel documentary and biographies, including ''Filmi Alif Laila'', a book containing history of Pakistani cinema. Early life Ali Sufiyan Afaqi was born on 22 August 1933 as Ali Sufiyan in British India (in modern-day Sehore district of Bhopal, India). Saleem Raza (singer)
Noel Dias (4 March 1932 – 25 November 1983), better known as Saleem Raza (), was a Pakistani playback singerand started his singing career from Lahore, Pakistan, quickly gaining popularity. Raza was a classically- trained singer and was more famous for singing sad songs. Raza's career suffered due to the rise of singer Ahmed Rushdi in the late 1950s. He left playback singing in 1966 as he lost his popularity with the film composers and moved to Canada where he died in 1983. Career Saleem Raza was born Noel Dias in a Christian family in Amritsar. Naseem Begum (Punjabi, ; 9 November 1942 – 5 March 1990), known professionally as Mala (), was a Pakistani playback singer of Urdu and Punjabi films. Munir Hussain (1930 – 27 September 1995) was a Pakistani playback singer. While working in Pakistani films for over thirty-eight years, he primarily sung for Urdu and Punjabi language films. His work include 217 songs in 163 films. He was one of the first Pakistani singers who earned his recognition in Lollywood, a film industry that produces Urdu and Punjabi-language films. Fayyaz Hashmi
Fayyaz Hashmi (; 1920 2011) was a Pakistani poet and screenwriter who worked both in the Indian and Pakistani film industry. He penned some memorable songs such as the famous nazm Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo and ''Tasveer teri dil mera behela nah sakegi''. The latter made the singer Talat Mahmood famous in India back in 1944 and was instrumental in introducing him to the Calcutta film industry. A little known fact about Hashmi is that he wrote the famous 'Na tum mere na dil mera', that was sung by Kamla Jharia, among many others. ''Paigham'' is a Pakistani social drama film, directed by Nazir Ajmeri, and co-produced by S. M. Yusuf and F. M. Sardar under banner ''F&Y Movies''. It starred Shamim Ara, Sultan and Rukhsana. The film was remade by S. Suleman as '' Aaj Aur Kal'' (1976). ''Paigham'' was a critical and commercial success. At the annual Nigar Award ceremony, it won an award in the category of Best comedian for Lehri. Plot Mumtaz's elder sister took her own life due to the ill treatment by her in-laws, who demanded dowry. Mumtaz loved Shahbaz, but his father was greedy and wanted a wealthy bride with a substantial dowry.
