Paprika Steen
Kirstine "Paprika" Steen (born 3 November 1964) is a Danish actress and director best known for her performances in Dogme 95 films '' Festen'', '' The Idiots'', Mifune, and '' Open Hearts''. Steen was the first Danish actress since Karin Nellemose to win both Best Actress (for '' Okay'') and Best Supporting Actress ('' Open Hearts'') in the same year at the Robert Festival, the Danish equivalent of the Oscars. Biography Steen was born on 3 November 1964 in Frederiksberg, Denmark, the daughter of musician and conductor and the actress Avi Sagild. She is the sister of musician and actor . Steen applied to the Acting School of Odense Theatre 13 times before being accepted and attending from 1988 to 1992. Steen performed on stage in Dr. Dante productions and been associated with the Royal Danish Theatre since 1997. In 1997 she wrote and performed in the satirical television series ''Lex og Klatten''. Frederiksberg
Frederiksberg () is a part of the Capital Region of Denmark. It is an independent municipality, Frederiksberg Municipality, separate from Copenhagen Municipality, but both are a part of the region of Copenhagen. It occupies an area of less than 9 km2 and had a population of 103,192 in 2015. It is the most densely populated municipality in denmark. Bodil Award
The Bodil Awards are the major Danish film awards given by the Danish Film Critics Association. The awards are presented annually at a ceremony in Copenhagen. Established in 1948, it is one of the oldest film awards in Europe. The awards are given without regard to commercial interests or box-office sales, but rather to highlight the films or actors that the critics regard as most worthy. The name of the award honours two of the most important figures in Danish cinema, actress Bodil Kjer and groundbreaking director Bodil Ipsen. An action comedy, A Danish/UK co-production, the film was directed by Jannik Johansen and written by Anders Thomas Jensen and Jannik Johansen. The film was premiered at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. Plot The film concerns a father and son who accidentally steal a painting by Rembrandt. Relation to real events On 29 January 1999, Rembrandt's "portrait of a lady" (as well as another painting by Bellini) was stolen from the poorly protected Nivaagaard Samlingen in Nivå in Denmark. The depiction in the film of the level of security at that time is fairly accurate, as well as the involvement of bounty hunters as civilian agents in the case.
