Panther Club
Panther Football Club was a Pakistani football club based in Faisalabad, Punjab. The club was one of the founder members of the Pakistan Premier League, at its establishment in 2004. The club also contained youth teams. It has produced notable players, such as Samar Ishaq, former captain of the Pakistan national team. The club competed at the Panther Ground in Faisalabad. History In 2004, Panther Club became one of the founding members of the Pakistan Premier League, making its professional debut in 2004–05 Pakistan Premier League, finishing the season in relegation zone at 11th position with 30 points, but avoided relegation due to Allied Bank who finished on 8th position dissolved their team at the end of the season. The team got relegated in the next 2005–06 season, finishing 11th again, with 20 points. The Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA; ur, ) is a government-owned public utility maintaining power and water in Pakistan, although it does not manage thermal power. The Pakistan Football Federation League ( ur, پاکستان فٹ بال فیڈریشن لیگ ; abbreviated: PFFL), also known as the 'B' Division League, is a Pakistani semi-professional league for men's association football departments and clubs which are in the Pakistan football league system, and is the country's second-tier semi-professional football competition. Contested by 18 departments and clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the top-tier Pakistan Premier League. AFC Cup
The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Under its current rules, the competition is played primarily between clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots in the top-tier AFC Champions League, based on the AFC Club Competitions Ranking. Al-Kuwait SC and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya are the most successful clubs in the competition's history, having won three titles each. Clubs from Kuwait have won four titles, making them the most successful nation in the competition. AFC President's Cup
The AFC President's Cup was an annual international association football competition between domestic clubs sides run by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held between 2005 and 2014. The competition targeted emerging football nations, and was set below the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup competitions. Competition format Between 8 and 12 teams participated in each edition of the competition. From 2005 to 2007, 8 clubs were placed into two groups of 4 teams. The winners and runners up would advance to the semi-final stage. All the matches were held in a single host country. From 2008 to 2010, the tournament was increased to 11 clubs. A qualification round was created and the 11 clubs were split into three groups of 3 or 4 clubs. Each group was played in a different country. The PFF National Challenge Cup is an annual semi-professional knockout football competition in men's domestic Pakistani football within the Pakistan football league system. It is organized by and named after the Pakistan Football Federation. Khan Research Laboratories have won the most titles (six). WAPDA are the current champions, winning the 2020 edition courtesy of a 1-0 win against SSGC F.C. in the final. 2007–08 PFF League
The 2007–08 PFF League was the 4th season of PFF League, second tier of Pakistan Football Federation. The season started on 7 November 2007 concluded on 30 January 2008. Pak Electron were declared the champions, and gained promotion to the 2008–09 Pakistan Premier League along with the second-placed Pakistan Steel. Format Fifteen teams competed in the tournament. However, Sindh Government Press FC withdrew before the tournament started. In the group stage, teams were divided into two groups of seven teams each, playing each other in a round-robin format. Top three teams from each group progressed to the Super Six stage, where they had to play against each other in another round-robin league. Pakistan Police Football Club is a Pakistani departmental football club based in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan. Founded in 1962, it is one of the oldest Pakistani football clubs. K-Electric Football Club, commonly referred to as K-Electric F.C., or simply known as KE, served as the football section of K-Electric. The club played in the Pakistan Premier League. Based in Karachi, Sindh, the club's home stadium was People's Football Stadium. The club colors, reflected in their crest and kit, were back and yellow.
