The 2006 PFF National League (now known as PFF League) was the 3rd season of PFF League, second tier of Pakistan Football Federation. The season started on 24 July 2006 concluded on 2 August 2006. Teams Promotion and relegation Teams relegated from PPL Panther Club and Pakistan Public Work Department relegated from the 2005–06 Pakistan Premier League. However they didn't participated in the tournament. Teams promoted from NCL PMC Club Athletico, Baloch Nushki and Bannu Red promoted from the 2006 National Club League. Football Federation League
The Pakistan Football Federation League B Division (; abbreviated: PFFL) is a Pakistani professional league for men's football departments and clubs which are in the Pakistan football league system, and is the country's second-tier competition. Contested by 18 departments and clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the top-tier Pakistan Premier League. Each season, the two top-finishing teams from the PFFL's club phase and the departmental phase are automatically promoted to the Pakistan Premier League, and the winner of the final between club phase and departmental phase is crowned the PFF League champion. History The PFF League was founded in 2004 to serve as the second division for the newly re-branded Pakistan Premier League. The league's name was originally planned as 'National League Division B'. Bannu Red
Bannu (, ), also called Bani Gul or Bani (, ) is a city located on the Kurram River in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is the capital of Bannu Division. Bannu's residents are primarily members of the Banuchi tribe and speak Banuchi (Baniswola), a dialect of Pashto which is similar to the distinct Waziristani dialect. The residents regardless of their tribes are commonly called Banusi, Banuchi or Banisi. The major industries of Bannu are cloth weaving, sugar mills and the manufacturing of cotton fabrics, machinery and equipment. It is famous for its weekly ''Jumma'' fair. Young Eleven Football Club, also known as Dera Eleven, is a Pakistani football club based in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It last competed in the PFF League, the second-tier competition in the Pakistan football league system. The club is one of the founder members of the Pakistan Premier League, established in 2004. The club also contain youth teams. History In 2004, Young Eleven became one of the founding members of the Pakistan Premier League, qualifying through their provincial qualifying group along with Mardan FC from Mardan. Mauripur Baloch
Mauripur Baloch is a Pakistani football club based in the locality of Mauripur in Karachi, Sindh. It last competed in the PFF League. The club is one of the founder members of the Pakistan Premier League, established in 2004. It has also participated in the Karachi Football League, winning the 2015–16 edition. The club also contain youth teams. History The club was founded in 1945, two years before the independence of Pakistan. In 2002, the club participated in the ''All-Karachi Quaid-e-Azam Cup Floodlit Football Tournament'', losing by 0–1 against Tanzeem Sports. 2005–06 Pakistan Premier League
The 2005–06 Pakistan Premier League season was the 2nd season of Pakistan Premier League and 51st season of Pakistan domestic football. WAPDA were the defending champions, having won their 1st Pakistan Premier League and 5th Pakistani title the previous season. Pakistan Army won the title on 19 October 2005, after defeating Pakistan Telecommunication 2-0, with 54th and 70th minute goals from Mubassar and Jaffar Hussain. Army had one game to play against WAPDA who were three points away from first position. Army won the league regardless of their result against WAPDA due to superior goal difference. Army won the tie against WAPDA 3-1, with a brace from the league's top scorer Imran Hussain. Army ended up winning the league by six points. Panther Club and Pakistan Public Work Department were relegated at the end of the season and will be replaced by Karachi Electric Supply Corporation and Pakistan Railways in the coming season.
