"Palomino" is a song written by Irish singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes and the third single release from her fifth studio album '' Bones + Longing''. Background and release "Palomino" was initially scheduled as the first single to be released from Gemma Hayes' fifth studio album ''Bones+Longing''. The single release was delayed to make way for "Chasing". Upon the release of the album in November 2014, "Palomino" featured regularly on radio in Ireland. The single appeared regularly on Newstalk, Today FM and TXFM. By spring 2015, the track was released as the second track from the LP in France, Germany and Australia among other territories. It is the third single release in Ireland. The track has featured heavily on Australian music radio station Double J. Gemma Hayes (born 11 August 1977) is an Irish musician, singer-songwriter and composer. Primarily known as a vocalist and guitarist, she is also proficient with a wide range of instruments, including the piano and the harmonica. She is also a member of The Cake Sale, Printer Clips and Trio (with Lisa Hannigan and Paul Noonan). Early life Hayes grew up in Ballyporeen, County Tipperary with her parents and seven other siblings. She was surrounded by music from an early age heavily influenced by her siblings and her father who was a keyboardist in a local band. Hayes would later move to County Limerick to attend boarding school. By this time, Hayes was proficient at piano and found that the music used to counter the boredom of living in a small village. ''Bones + Longing'' is the fifth studio album by Irish singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes. The album was released on 14 November in Ireland and on 17 November in the UK, the US and Canada. It was released elsewhere around the world on 2 March 2015 and German speaking territories on 6 March 2015, with a vinyl release on 12 June 2015. TXFM (formerly Phantom 105.2) was a Dublin-based radio station, founded in 1997 as a pirate radio station. TXFM broadcast under a contract awarded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI).
