Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna
The Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna is a palace located at via Ghibellina #30, corner with angolo via delle Conce, in central Florence in the region of Tuscany, Italy. History The palace has had multiple owners over the centuries. In the 16th century, the Granacci combined a number of structures at the locale into one palace and garden. From the 16th to the 18th century it was owned by the Gaburri including by the art patron Francesco Maria Niccolò Gabburri, before being inherited by the Lotteringhi della Stufa family. In the 19th century, it was owned by the banker Michele Giuntini, who commissioned a cycle of frescoes here. From 1857 to 1979 it was owned by the Vivarelli Colonna. The palace once had frescoes by Antonio Domenico Gabbiani, Pier Dandini, Alessandro Gherardini, and Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani, commissioned by Gaburri. Luigi Catani (7 November 1762 – 17 December 1840) is an Italians, Italian painter of frescoes during the Neoclassicism, neoclassical period, active in Tuscany. Biography He was born in Prato and died in Florence. He was a pupil of Pietro Benvenuti. Giuseppe Bezzuoli (28 November 1784 – 13 September 1855) was an Italian painter of the Neoclassical and Romantic periods. Biography He was born to Luigi Bazzuoli, a farmer, and his wife Anna, née Banchieri. Francesco Nenci (April 10, 1781 in Anghiari – March 4, 1850 in Siena) was an Italian painter, mainly of historic and sacred subjects in a Neoclassical style. Giuseppe Collignon
Giuseppe Collignon (March 2, 1778 – February 10, 1863) was an Italian painter born in Castelnuovo Berardenga. He worked in a neoclassical style, painting mainly historical subjects. Biography He was a contemporary of Pietro Benvenuti and Luigi Sabatelli. In 1800 he won a prize at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence for an oil painting of ''Joseph sold by his brothers''. He frescoed two rooms in the Pitti Palace (Room of Psyche and Room of Prometheus). The latter is painted with frescoes of the ''Chariot of the Sun obscured by Minerva'' and ''Prometheus''. Gasparo Martellini Gasparo Martellini (Florence, February 15, 1785 -October 20, 1857) was an Italian painter. Biography He was a pupil of Pietro Benvenuti at the Academy of Fine Arts, Florence.
