Palakonda (ST)(Assembly Constituency)
Palakonda is a Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Tribe reserved constituency in Parvathipuram Manyam district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Araku Lok Sabha constituency. Nimmaka Jaya Krishna is the current Member of Legislative Assembly (India), MLA of the constituency, having won the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from Janasena Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 184,414 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 1951, as per the ''Delimitation Orders (1951)''. Viswasarayi Kalavathi
Viswasarayi Kalavathi (born 1967) is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. She was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly twice from Palakonda as a member of the YSR Congress Party. Early life and education Kalavathi hails from Vanduva village, Veeraghattam Mandal, Srikakulam district. Her father's name is Viswasarayi Narasimha Rao. She married Mandangi Hari Prasad. In 2002, she did her M.A. in Economics from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack. She was a deputy registrar in the Cooperative Department. Career She entered politics after joining the Praja Rajyam Party in 2009 but lost the Assembly election from Palakonda. Later, she joined YSR Congress Party and won the 2014 election from the same seat. Kambala Jogulu (born 1968) is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election on YSRCP ticket from Rajam Assembly constituency in Srikakulam district. Early life and education Jogulu hails from a farming family in Saradhi village, Rajam mandal, Srikakulam district, and his father Gavarayya is a farmer. He completed his schooling in Municipal High School, Srikakulam in 1984 before becoming a graduate in arts at Government Arts College, Srikakulam in 1991.
