P. R. Nathan
Payyanat Ravindra Nathan better known by his pen name P. R. Nathan, is a novelist, screenplay writer, dramatist, short story writer, travelogue writer and speaker from Palakkad, Kerala, India. He was awarded with the prestigious Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for overall contribution in 2014. He has written over 55 books in various genres. He is the recipient of 41 major awards across various categories in literature. He is an expert in Naturopathy and Reiki . He has done over 7000 speeches around the world on Vedas, Upanishads and Tantra. Theruvath Raman (30 March 1917 – 17 October 2009) was an Indian journalist and writer. He was the founder-editor of the first evening newspaper in Malayalam ''Pradeepam'', published from Kozhikode, Kerala. Career Born on 30 March 1917 to Theruvath Kumaran and Kunjamma in Calicut, Raman started his journalist career as the editor of ''Sahityakahalam'' weekly. It was during freedom struggle, he founded and published ''Kahalam'' weekly. He was arrested and served a six months jail term for publishing an editorial in ''Kahalam''. He had also worked in ''Prabhatham'' weekly brought out by former Kerala Chief Minister E. M. S. Namboodiripad. The Kerala Sahitya Akademi or Academy for Malayalam Literature is an autonomous body established to promote the Malayalam language and Malayalam literature, literature. It is situated in the city of Thrissur, Kerala in India. Gayatri (Sanskrit: गायत्री, IAST: Gāyatrī) is the personified form of the Gayatri Mantra, a popular hymn from Vedic texts. She is also known as Savitri, and holds the title of ''Vedamata'' ('mother of the Vedas').
