Musical career The band describe their sound as influenced by the Manchester music scene in some ways but display a wide range of influences. Foster the People is an American indie pop band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2009. Its members include founder and frontman Mark Foster (musician), Mark Foster and keyboardist Isom Innis. Fenech-Soler were an English electropop band from King's Cliffe, Northamptonshire, England, that formed in 2006 and consists of two members: Ross Duffy and Ben Duffy. Founding members Daniel Fenech-Soler and Andrew Lindsay left the band in 2016. The name Fenech-Soler is taken from Daniel Soler's full surname, which is Maltese. The band's sound has been compared to Friendly Fires and Delphic for their "hybrid of summery indie and big dance-inflected melodies". Fenech-Soler are signed to So Recordings. The Horrors
The Horrors are an English Rock music, rock band formed in Southend-on-Sea in 2005 by lead vocalist Faris Badwan, guitarist Joshua Hayward, keyboardist and synthesizer player Tom Furse, bassist Rhys Webb, and drummer and percussionist Joe Spurgeon. Their music has been classified as garage rock, Garage punk (fusion genre), garage punk, gothic rock, shoegaze and post-punk revival. The band's current lineup includes all of the founding members bar Furse and Spurgeon, who have been inactive performing live since 2021 and 2024, respectively. Phillipa Margaret "Pip" Brown (born 13 July 1979), better known by her stage name Ladyhawke, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She took her stage name from Richard Donner's 1985 film ''Ladyhawke (film), Ladyhawke''. Koko (stylised as KOKO, previously called The Music Machine and Camden Palace) is a concert venue and former theatre in Camden Town, London. The building was known as Camden Palace from 1982 until its 2004 purchase and extensive restoration, led by Oliver Bengough and Mint Entertainment. Live At Leeds (festival)
Live at Leeds is a music festival that takes place across various venues in Leeds, England, on the weekend of the May Day bank holiday. The festival began in 2007 to mark the city of Leeds's 800th birthday and was jointly hosted by Leeds City Council and music promotion company Futuresound. This initial event took place at the end of May and featured around 50 bands playing live in and around Leeds city centre along with film screenings and a music industry seminar. Lovebox Festival
Lovebox is a three-day music festival. In 2018 the event moved to Gunnersbury Park, London. The move came after Tower Hamlets turned down its application to continue in Victoria Park and Lambeth residents objected to its move to Brockwell Park. The 2019 event had a capacity of 50,000. The event has been running since 2002 and was founded by DJs Groove Armada. During this time, Lovebox has also hosted events in Newcastle, Dublin and Ibiza as well as numerous parties and club nights. Origins and history Groove Armada began Lovebox as a resident club night at London venue 93 Feet East in 2002. In 2003 to celebrate the first anniversary of the night, the pair hosted the first outdoor Lovebox event. The Dot to Dot Festival is an annual music festival taking place since 2005, currently held at various venues in Nottingham, Bristol and previously Manchester across May bank holiday weekend. Previous artists that have performed at the festival include Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Florence and the Machine, Florence & The Machine, Lewis Capaldi, London Grammar, Wolf Alice, Years & Years, Beach House, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Fontaines D.C., Ghetts, Metronomy and many more.
