Lovebox Festival
Lovebox is a three-day music festival. In 2018 the event moved to Gunnersbury Park, London. The move came after Tower Hamlets turned down its application to continue in Victoria Park and Lambeth residents objected to its move to Brockwell Park. The 2019 event had a capacity of 50,000. The event has been running since 2002 and was founded by DJs Groove Armada. During this time, Lovebox has also hosted events in Newcastle, Dublin and Ibiza as well as numerous parties and club nights. Origins and history Groove Armada began Lovebox as a resident club night at London venue 93 Feet East in 2002. In 2003 to celebrate the first anniversary of the night, the pair hosted the first outdoor Lovebox event. The one-day event was held at the end of June 2003, on Clapham Common with a capacity of 10,000. Tickets for the event sold out in two days. Paloma Faith
Paloma Faith Blomfield (born 21 July 1981) is an English singer, songwriter, and actress. Spiegel Tent
A spiegeltent (Dutch for "mirror tent", from '' spiegel''+''tent'') is a large travelling tent, constructed from wood and canvas and decorated with mirrors and stained glass, intended as an entertainment venue. Originally built in Belgium during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, only a handful of spiegeltents remain in existence and continuing to travel predominantly around Europe. Often as a feature attraction at various international arts festivals. Two tents used by Teatro ZinZanni have been in semi-permanent locations in Seattle and San Francisco for several years. The Melba Spiegeltent spent the better part of a century touring Europe, but is now permanently located in Melbourne, Australia. Soul Clap is an American DJ and production duo from Boston, Massachusetts. Active in the club scene since 2001, the group has released a number of mixtapes, EPs, singles, and albums. In 2012 they released their first album, ''EFUNK.'' According to XLR8R, Soul Clap " emptthe listener into the darker, more abstract corners of house (and its relative offshoots) by dressing them up with smooth, jazzy trimmings." Andre Williams, better known as Shy FX, is a British DJ and producer from London. He specialises in drum and bass and jungle music. Biography Shy FX's debut record was "Jungle Love", released in 1992 on the Permission to Dance label. Soon after, he signed to Sound of the Underground Records (often abbreviated as S.O.U.R.) and in 1994 released the breakthrough ragga jungle track " Original Nuttah" (featuring vocals from MC UK Apachi) which helped to cement his position as a mainstay producer of the jungle/drum & bass scene. Modeselektor
Modeselektor is a German electronic music duo consisting of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. History The group members met in 1992 in Berlin with group member Szary performing live acid house music at illegal underground parties, under the moniker Fundamental Knowledge. The group says, "After Berlin Wall, the Wall came down, everywhere in Germany and especially East Germany there was a lot of chaos, anarchy." Both soon joined forces and began creating music as Modeselektor, a name taken from a function on the Roland Space Echo analog signal, analog delay (audio effect), delay effects unit. Bonobo (musician)
Simon Green (born 30 March 1976), known by his stage name Bonobo, is an English musician, producer, and DJ based in Los Angeles. He debuted with a trip hop aesthetic and has since explored more upbeat approaches as well as jazz and world music influences. His electronic music, electronic sound incorporates the use of organic instrumentation and is recreated by a full band in live performances.
