Johan Jacobsen
Johan Jacobsen (born 14 March 1912 in Aarhus – died 7 July 1972 in Copenhagen) was a Danish film director. His parents were theatre manager Jacob Jørgen Jacobsen (1865-1955) and actress Christel Holch (1886-1968). From the 1940s Jacobsen directed a number of both popular and critically acclaimed films for the film studio Palladium. From 1947 onwards he was an independent director and producer. He produced his own films and those of his partner Annelise Hovmand (1924-2016) at his own film studio Flamingo. In 1959 he was a member of the jury at the 9th Berlin International Film Festival. His A Stranger Knocks (1959) was in competition at the San Francisco International Film Festival 1960. It was distributed in the US by Trans-Lux and played a major part in bringing down the American State Film Censorship system in 1965. Inge Hvid-Møller
Inge Hvid-Møller (1912–1970) was a Danish actress and stage director. She is remembered for performing roles in Jean Anouilh's plays, in particular the title role in ''Antigone'' in 1946. From the 1950s she directed plays including Chekhov's '' Onkel Vanja'' (1953) at the Allé-Scenen. Hvid-Møller also performed in several films, including ''Jeg mødte en Morder'' (1943). Biography Born in Copenhagen on 6 October 1912, Inge Hvid-Møller was the daughter of the high-court attorney Johannes Hvid-Møller (1885–1959) and his wife Elna Johanne Henriette Bentzen (1884–1950). In 1941, she married the actor Hans-Henrik Krause. The marriage was dissolved in 1946. She trained at the Royal Theatre School (1932–34) and made her debut in 1935 as Esther in Henri Nathansen ''Indenfor Murene'' (Inside the Walls) in 1936. Johannes Meyer (actor)
Johannes Meyer (28 May 1884 – 4 November 1972), was a Danish film actor. He made his stage debut at the Dagmarteatret in Copenhagen in 1905 and went on to appear in more than 100 movies, making his first film playing the role of Erneste des Tressailles in Viggo Larsen's 'Revolutionsbryllup' at the Nordist Film Co in 1909. He was mostly seen in character or supporting roles in many talkies from 1933 until his last film appearance playing the role of Bilvis in Gabriel Axel's 'Hagbard and Signe' in 1967. He was also active on radio and in T.V. dramas and was stage director of the Fonixteatret and Norrebros Theatre before he was hired by the Royal Theatre in 1941. Died in Denmark in 1972, age 88. Elith Pio
Viggo Elith William Pio (3 July 1887 – 10 February 1983) was a Danish actor of stage, screen, radio and television. He is most noted for starring roles in films such as Carl Theodor Dreyer's ''Leaves from Satan's Book'', Johan Jacobsen's ''Jenny and the Soldier'' and Benjamin Christensen's '' Häxan''. Theatre Elith Pio made his theatre debut in 1907 as a member of the Peter Fjelstrup's theater company. He worked in various theaters in Denmark until 1931, when he was employed by the Royal Danish Theatre. He remained a member of the Royal Theatre until his retirement in 1974. Some of his most famous roles were Aristophanes in Johan Ludvig Heiberg's ''A Soul after the Dead'', Dr. Relling and Old Ekdal in Henrik Ibsen's ''The Wild Duck'' (''Vildanden'') and a chamberlain to in Ibsen's ''The League of Youth'' (''De unges forbund''). Ib Christian Albert von Cotta Schønberg (23 October 1902 – 24 September 1955) was a Danish film actor, and is considered one of the leading actors of Danish film in the 20th century. Early life The son of a chemist, Ib Schønberg was interested in acting from an early age. He made his debut in 1920 and worked for more than ten years as a stage actor. Career Schønberg made his screen debut in Benjamin Christensen's 1922 horror/documentary ''Häxan''. Helle Genie Virkner née Lotinga (15 September 1925 – 10 June 2009) was a Danish actress, author and spouse of Prime Minister Jens Otto Krag Personal life Helle Genie Lotinga was born in Aarhus to Jewish rentier Moritz “Morris” Lotinga and Ellen Larsine (née Rasmussen) Her parents divorced when she was 5, at which point she moved with her mother from Ry to Copenhagen.
