Ostercappeln
Ostercappeln is a municipality in the district of Osnabrück, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated in the Wiehengebirge, approx. 15 km northeast of Osnabrück. The municipality is made up of three villages, Ostercappeln, Venne and Schwagstorf, along the Bundesstraße 218. Ostercappeln is the location of the St. Raphael hospital, which serves a general hospital for the surrounding municipalities and as a center for pulmonary diseases for the district. Johann Ernst Hanxleden
Johann Ernst Hanxleden (1681–1732), also known as 'Arnos Pathiri'', was a German Jesuit priest and missionary, best known for his contributions as a Malayalam and Sanskrit poet, grammarian, lexicographer, and philologist. He lived in India for most of his life and became a scholar of Sanskrit and Malayalam languages before authoring '' Puthen Pana'', a poem on the life of Jesus Christ, ''Malayalam–Portuguese Dictionary'', the first dictionary in Malayalam as well as two linguistic treatises, ''Malayalavyaakaranam'' and ''Sidharoopam''. Arnos Pathiri lived in St. Francis Xavier Forane Church, Velur and is said to have written ''Puthen Pana'', a poem which deals with the life of Jesus Christ. Osnabrück (district)
Osnabrück () is a district (''Landkreis'') in the southwest of Lower Saxony, Germany. With 2,122 km2 it is the second largest district of Lower Saxony. History The district in its present form was established on July 1, 1972 by merging the former districts of Melle, Bersenbrück and Wittlage, and most of the old district of Osnabrück. Eight municipalities (Atter, Pye, Hellern, Nahne, Voxtrup, Darum, Gretesch and Lüstringen) were merged with the city of Osnabrück in the same year. The former district of Osnabrück had already been enlarged with the district of Iburg in 1932. The 1972 local government reform also led to a considerable decrease of the number of municipalities. Bolbec () is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France. Its inhabitants are called ''Bolbécais'' or ''Bolbécaises''.
