Original Koffee
Mikayla Victoria Simpson (born February 16, 2000), who performs under the stage name Original Koffee, is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, rapper, and guitarist from Spanish Town. She released her debut single "Burning" in 2017, and signed with Columbia Records after releasing another single the following year. Her 2019 debut EP ''Rapture'' won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, making Koffee both the youngest person and only woman to be awarded in the Best Reggae Album category. Her most recent album, ''Gifted'' was released on March 25, 2022. Early life and career Koffee's mother was an occasional actress, Seventh-day Adventist, and a Ministry of Health employee. Rototom Sunsplash is a large European reggae festival founded in 1994 in Gaio di Spilimbergo (Pordenone, Italy), and since 2010 held in Benicàssim, a few miles north of Valencia, Spain. It attracts thousands of fans from all over the world, thanks to a cultural and musical program that lasts for up to ten days. History 1991–1999: Rototom Association and the clubs in Gaio and Zoppola The birthplace of the festival is the small Italian town of Gaio di Spilimbergo, province of Pordenone, in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, close to Venice. On 13 December 1991, the Rototom Cultural Association was born and with it a nightclub of the same name. Lucien Nicolet (; born 24 February 1978 in Montcherand), known mononymously as Luciano, is a Swiss and Chilean DJ and producer. Rebel Salute is an annual music festival held in Jamaica. It is held on January 15 of every year, the birthday of promoter Tony Rebel. It is one of Jamaica's biggest music festivals, known for its focus on roots and conscious music. Colvin George Scott (3 September 1959 – 11 March 2025), better known as Cocoa Tea, was a Jamaican reggae singer and songwriter. Life and career Born in the fishing village of Rocky Point, Clarendon Parish, Jamaica on 3 September 1959, Cocoa Tea was one of the most popular singers in Jamaica from the 1980s onwards, achieving significant worldwide success in the reggae world.
