Oppressed Logic
Oppressed Logic are an American punk band from Oakland, California, United States, who formed in 1994. Currently, the band consists of vocalist Mike Avilez, drummer Jim Redens, guitar and bassist Jake Martinez, and guitarist Mike Fuentes. The band's first release was a cassette called ''What They Want... What the Fuck.'' The first official album the band appeared on was a compilation called ''Pigs Suck'', which was released in 1995 by Clean Plate Records; it featured one Oppressed Logic song called "They're Gonna Die". In late 1995, the band released a split album with Toronto-based punk band Armed and Hammered. They were signed to Beer City Records in 1995 and released their first 7-inch, ''P.C. Full of Shit!'', in 1996. In 1997, they released their fist full-length LP, ''Ain't A Damn Thing Changed!''. Afterwards, in 1997 and 1998 they completed two 6-week tours across the United States. Retox is an American rock band that formed in 2011. The four-piece was founded by Justin Pearson and Gabe Serbian, both of whom had previously performed together in The Locust, Holy Molar and Head Wound City. The two additional members are Thor Dickey and Michael Crain. Serbian was replaced by Brian Evans in 2013. Triple X Records was a Los Angeles-based record company started by three former employees of the bankrupt Greenworld Distribution: Dean Naleway, Peter Heur and Charley Brown. Nothing Records
Nothing Records was an American record label specializing in industrial rock and electronic music, founded by John Malm Jr. and Trent Reznor in 1992. It is considered an example of a vanity label, where an artist is able to run a label with some small degree of independence within a larger parent company, in this case the larger company being Interscope Records. Nothing Records went largely defunct in 2004, after a lawsuit by Reznor against John Malm. Battalion of Saints was an American hardcore punk band from San Diego, California, that was founded in 1980. The band went through numerous lineup changes before touring the United States and Canada from 1984–1985 with George Anthony, Chris Smith, James Cooper and Joey Wrecked (Maya). Half-way through the 1985 summer tour, the road manager Captain Scarlett (David Lloyd) replaced James Cooper on bass. The band officially broke up in 1985. Luicidal is a punk rock band from Venice, Los Angeles, California, formed in 2012. The band consists of Mando Ochoa (vocals), Mike Avilez (vocals), Louichi Mayorga (bass/guitar), R.J. Herrera (drums), Gene Duarte (guitar), and Doug Mug Swanson (bass). Band history Bassist Louiche Mayorga decided to form Luicidal with his former Suicidal Tendencies bandmate R.J. Special Duties are a British punk rock band from Colchester, Essex. History Special Duties was created in October 1977 by schoolfellows Steve Green (Aka Arrogant), Steve Norris (Aka Duty) and Nigel Baker. They were punks at school, but the idea of forming their own band came when they saw The Adverts in Colchester. The fact that the three schoolboys couldn't play and didn't own any instruments didn't discourage them. They decided to put Arrogant on vocals, Duty on guitar and Baker on Bass. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. Fang is an American hardcore punk band from the early East Bay punk rock scene, established in Berkeley, California, in 1980. History The band's first record under the name Fang was an "experimental record", according to the band; this was the "Yukon Fang" single. Fang guitarist Tom Flynn and bass player Brian Beattie, his former bandmate from the bands Tapeworm and Safety Patrol, put out "Yukon Fang" as a duo, and Fang was formed. The original incarnation of Fang toured the country once, only to break up shortly thereafter with Beattie moving on to Texas where he later formed the band Glass Eye.
