Once Human is an American melodic death metal band from Los Angeles, California, founded in 2014 by producer and former Machine Head (band), Machine Head/Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader. The band released their debut album, ''The Life I Remember'', in 2015 through earMUSIC. Robert Conrad Flynn (born Lawrence Matthew Cardine; July 19, 1967) is an American musician best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for heavy metal band Machine Head and also the only member to feature all Machine Head releases. Flynn formed the band along with Adam Duce, Logan Mader and Tony Costanza after leaving Bay Area thrash band Vio-lence. Life and career Flynn was born Lawrence Matthew Cardine in Oakland, California. Flynn cited Black Sabbath as his biggest influence and the reason he plays guitar. They released two EPs, ''Remembrance'' and ''Damned and Forsaken'', and published the full-length album ''Etherial End'' in August 2015.
