Once Dead is a Christian metal band that originated in Los Angeles, California. The band has played at Festivals such as Up From The Ashes, Elements of Rock Festival and Nordic Fest. History The band started as a reunion for Vengeance Rising a band that original members, Larry Farkas, Doug Thieme, Roger Dale Martin and Glen Mancaruso had all performed in. All the members quit Vengeance at the same time and formed the band Die Happy. The members decided they wanted to reunite the band minus original vocalist Roger Martinez, who threatened to sue over the reunion. Soon after those two shows as Vengeance, the band changed their name to Once Dead after one of Vengeance's album. In 2005, the band released a DVD titled ''Return with a Vengeance''. Soon after the release, Glen Mancaruso departed from the band and was replaced by The Crucified drummer, Jim Chaffin. ''Once Dead'' is the second studio album by Christian metal, Christian death metal, death and thrash metal musical group, band Vengeance Rising, released in 1990 on Intense Records and re-released in November 2010 on Intense Millennium Records. According to Allmusic, both the debut and ''Once Dead'' "were huge successes in the world of Christian music, making Vengeance Rising one of the few bands in the genre to cross over into the secular music scene". The Blamed is an American Christian hardcore punk band currently based out of Chicago. During their tenure they have played primarily hardcore punk, pop punk, punk rock, and emo music with some influences from metal as well. They originally are from California having relocated to Illinois after guitarist Bryan Gray moved to Chicago. The band originally formed in 1994 and disbanded in 2003. Uncle Slam was an American crossover thrash band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1987. They were influenced by punk rock bands of the 1980s like Suicidal Tendencies (which featured some of the members of Uncle Slam and the Brood), D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, Black Flag and the Circle Jerks, as well as heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Slayer and Motörhead. Holy Soldier was a Christian metal, Christian hard rock/glam metal band from Los Angeles, formed in 1985. They released three studio albums. Ultimatum is an American thrash metal band from Albuquerque, New Mexico. History Ultimatum was formed in 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico by Robert Gutierrez, John Carroll and Greg Dingess.
