On 22 January 2025, a mass stabbing took place at a park in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, Germany. 28-year-old Afghan asylum seeker Enamullah Omarzai, killed two people and wounded three. Attack The perpetrator entered the at around 11:30 local time. Inside the park, he followed a kindergarten group, consisting of two female teachers and five children, for fifteen minutes. At 11:45, at the Musikerplatz, the perpetrator ran past the teachers to attack two toddlers sat inside a toy wagon, pulling off the hat and scarf of a 2-year-old Moroccan boy before stabbing him and a 2-year-old Syrian girl. Azmatullah Omarzai (Pashto: عظمت الله عمرزی born 24 March 2000) is an Afghan cricketer from Nurgal District of Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan. Azmatullah started playing cricket when he was 14 years old. He won the ICC Men's ODI Cricketer of the Year award 2024. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in January 2021. He was part of the Afghan team in the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Umarzai
The Muhammadzai are a Pashtun tribe residing in Charsadda, Pakistan. Origins This group has a Pashtun lineage from the son of Zamand, the third son of Kharshbun. They originate from Afghanistan. The Muhammadzai are descendants of Sharkhbun, the brother of Kharshbun; the latter had three sons, Kand, Zamand, and Kasi. Muhammad Ibn Zamand was Zamand's son, so they were popular with the tribe. Location The tribe is found primarily in Hashtnagar, an area in Charsadda District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, that borders the Swat River's left bank. Mohammadzai (), also spelled Moḥammadzay (meaning "descendants of Mohammad"), is a Pashtun sub-tribe or clan of the Barakzai which is part of the Durrani confederacy of tribes. They are primarily centered on Kandahar, Kabul and Ghazni in Afghanistan as well as in the city of Charsadda in neighbouring Pakistan. The Mohammadzai ruled Afghanistan from 1823 to 1978, for a total of 155 years. Their rule ended under Daoud Khan when the Communists took power via a Soviet-backed coup.
